Marvelous Magnolia Monochromatic

Happy Thursday friends!
I am back for another challenge over at Marvelous Magnolia and it's one of my faves!!!
I do love a Monochrome challenge and I have chose to get all monochromatic with Pink today.
This card was actually a commission I made last wk with another i have already blogged. This Tilda was requested and I am so thrilled she was as I love her!!!
Isn't she just the cutest?! I used papers from Teresa Collins and Echo park for my card. I used my MS Hydrangea border punch (love this!) and a multitude of flowers from WOC and kort & Godt. The sugar and spice sticker is one I have had for a while along with my glittery number and my computer generated sentiment for personalisation.
I coloured my sweet Tilda with prisma pencils and machine stitched all my edges. I also used a little worn lipstick DI to the edges.
I loved making this pretty in pink creation!
Do check out what the rest of the team have made for this and why not jump in and try for a prize from..
and
I would also like to enter this into..
Tuesday throwndown lots of layers, Party time tuesdays anything goes, Top tip tues kids and teens, Simon says stamp anything goes, sweet stampin flowers, allsorts bring on the bling and Paper pretties girlie cards
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone and for sticking by me with this sporadic blogging behaviour!

Creative Inspirations Traditional xmas colours

Hey everyone!! I know I have been soooooooo absent recently! I have been working hard honest! Unfortunately not crafting though, I have been busy at work whilst hubby has been recovering from his op, he seems to be doing ok now after a pretty painful week but he is slowly on the mend.
I have a valued 2 days off, having worked the last 5 days and am back to work again tomorrow for the next 4 days.
However, it is challenge time again at Creative Inspirations and we want you to use Traditional Christmas colours (I am late with this sorry ladies internet was running super slow this morning!)
But I have not made a card this time (ooo shock!) I am becoming more and more inspired by xmas crafts around the home and lots of handmade goodies I am spying on Pinterest and facebook which i want to try my hand at so today I have a plaque to show you.
I am afraid I can't remember where I bought the plaque from, it was in a set of 3 and they really weren't expensive, just MDF plaques. I used some Gesso to prime and some white acrylic paint on the plaque which I then stamped with a magnolia snowflake stamp in Picket fence Distress ink and also inked the edges in vintage photo. I have used flowers and wooden reindeer embellishment from Wild orchids, rub on letters from KI and the rest from stash.
This was so super easy to make and it beats buying one right?! I am loving the idea of a handmade christmas!
Do check out what the rest of my teamies have made with the stunning traditional xmas colours!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog, despite my lack of blogging!
Don't forget there is a sparkly new challenge at Divas by design today too!
Big hugs

CASE it challenge at Creative Inspirations

Hello friends, we have another CASE it challenge over at Creative Inspirations today and would you look at that it's time to CASE my card lol!
So here is the card I chose for everyone to CASE...
I can't give you all the details of my card as it is an oldie but I know those stunning papers are of course Black Market paper Society. My sweet image is Magnolia of course, coloured with prismas and I have slapped some crackle paint around my edges. I think my wooden butterfly is kaisercrafts? My flowers of course will be WOC.
I didn't CASE my own card (although I was tempted to join in!) because I have got a tonne of crafting to do and as hubby is off for 3 wks after his op yesterday I am in work practically full time over the next 2 wks to make up for the lost money!
Anyway I do hope my little card inspires you to do some CASEing and that you will check out what my teamies have done in the challenge.

A Gem of a challenge ribbon and lace

Hi folks! I'm sorry that I am late with my post for A gem of a challenge. My Laptop decided to have a major hissy fit last night and needed a disk and start up repair which I had to leave running all night! I was then off at work today so have not had the opportunity to post my card until now, sorry to all my teamies!
Well it's reminder week for our challenge of ribbon and lace and what is the last thing you would expect from me with that sort of theme?! a male card!
This Andy with puppy is one of my fave boy images as he is so super cute! I have teamed him with Bazzil basics paper, jute and seam binding ribbon from WOC, Lace from Kaisercraft and sentiment from LOTV. My metal embellishment is from my stash and I have had it for ages!
I have coloured Andy with prisma pencils and have edged the image in vintage photo distress ink.
Thanks so much to those of you who come by my blog and say Hi. I do know that I haven't found as much time recently to visit many of you and also that I have not been a regular crafter either. \I seem to have lost a few followers too which is sad but a big massive thank you to those of you who still stick by my blog!
Massive hugs to you all

Marvelous Magnolia Traditional Xmas colours

Good afternoon my lovely blogging friends! I feel so lucky today (not) I managed to grab a shift at work this evening on Christmas light switch on night. Will it be busy you ask? Well I work just across from Cheshire Oaks with the largest Christmas tree in Britain and then to top that we are just over the road from the huge cinema showing 4 screens of Twilight at midnight (sigh). I will just have to hold on to the fact that tomorrow I get to see Twilight twice (yes twice). I am seeing it with friends at 10.30am once I have dropped the kiddies at school and then again with a different friend in the evening at 8.30pm after the kiddies are in bed!!! Of course if anyone else wants to see it I would happily go again lol!
Anyway, enough of my waffle it's challenge time again at Marvelous Magnolia and we have the fab challenge of Traditional Christmas colours.
This is one of my commissioned xmas cards. I was told to feature a cat and who could resist this cute Tilda and cat combo! I have used Teresa Collins xmas papers along with a doily and gauze, some lace, jute, pearl string and flowers from WOC. My sentiment is Kaisercraft.
I have coloured my sweet image with prisma pencils. I have also masked her and created a distressed background with some magnolia snowflakes, DI and crackle paint.
We are so lucky this week to be sponsored by
I would like to enter this into Wild orchids Traditional Christmas, Papertake weekly flower power and Pennys paper crafty anything goes.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog and wish me luck for this evening!

Creative Inspirations Sketch time

Hello friends how are we all?!
Well I am just busy, busy as always! I have finished making my chilli jam/relish. I will post photos later honest! I am also going to make another batch of my xmas chutney as I have far too many requests for it (teach me for putting photos on facebook!) Not to mention that I have been given a few commission orders for cards (yay!) and then as hubby is having an op on his legs next week and is therefore off work for a couple of weeks, I have volunteered to do 5 days at work (ha!) I know I'm officially crazy but it keeps me (too) busy!
So, order of the day! We have a new challenge over at Creative Inspirations and it's a sketch this week. We are sponsored by the wonderful Stamp fairy who have given the DT images to play with.
I have used DCWV papers which I have had in my stash for AGES, seriously we are talking years here! along with a beautiful butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner, some flowers from WOC and Kort & Godt and a sentiment from Waltzingmouse. My tabs are cut with nesties labels 1 and I have gone slap happy with my crackle paint again!
My adorable Barry Angel image from Stamp fairy has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have stickled his wings and starts and have machine stitched all my edges. I don't know whether you can really see it but all my mounting card is that black magic stuff. So even though it is black I have distressed the edges for the pinks and purples to come through.
Ii have to say a mahoooosive thanks to the lovely Fleur! I was going stir crazy waiting for my cheesecloth (which has now arrived) but she told me she used medical gauze instead of cheesecloth. So I raided the first aid basket and whadayaknow I have gauze! So thats what you can see here under the layers!
I also have to say massive proud mummy moment yesterday. I had parents eve for my youngest 2 at primary and both are doing really well. Caleb's teacher even said if she had a class full of Calebs she would be happy! He is top of his class for phonics and in the top group for maths and reading (guess all the home schooling is paying off!)
I would like to enter my card into Dream valley anything goes, IDIC anything goes and Sweet stampin anything goes,.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog folks
Big hugs

Pink Gem Inspiration xmas tags

Hi everyone!
Just a quick post from me this morning offering some Pink Gem Inspiration. Quick and easy xmas tags! I know that I have to make a tonne of xmas tags for the multitude of presents I will have sat under my tree so I need a simple and quick solution which is here....
I have printed off Janet's digi pudding stamp. There is also a colour version which is even better for time saving! Most of the digi stamps have a pre coloured version but unfortunately my printer doesn't print colour! Ridiculous right? Yes I'm afraid since I have had this all singing dancing wireless printer for over a year I haven't printed out a single thing in colour (and I used to love my digi papers) because it just prints out plain weird! I can't even print on coloured cardstock! I'm thinking a new cheap printer is in need!
Anyway I have coloured up the little puddings with my pencils and added them to my tag. My sentiment is from the polymer xmas eve Chloe set.
I will be making more tag like this with some of the many digi stamps available from PGD for the many presents I shall be giving!
It's also 5 yrs today that Janet started Pink Gem Designs so a big Happy birthday and long may it continue!
Thanks for coming by again.
Big hugs

Meanwhile check out what my talented teamies have done with this theme at the challenge blog.

Are you dreaming of a brown christmas?!!!

Morning folks! Well I'm only dreaming of a brown Christmas if that means its filled with a tonne of chocolate lol, I am expecting to put on weight over christmas!
I decided to go all brown and vintagey for this Christmas card today. We have a new challenge for you over at Stampin for the weekend and it is "all stitched up" so we want to see some stitches on your creations real or faux.
I have used Bo Bunny papers on my card and this most adorable Tilda stamp that comes free with the current issue of Magnolia ink!!! Yes she is free and she is sooooo cute. She can be used for any occasion but I think she suits a Christmas card just fine!
I have also used lace, jute, seam binding and flowers from WOC, with some flowers also from Kort & Godt. My frame is a nesties die, my snowflakes Mariannes dies and my tag a memory box die. My sentiment is from a Hanglar set and I have used a tonne of vintage photo ink and picket fence crackle paint.
My adorable image has been stamped in brown ink rather than black for a softer effect and coloured with prisma pencils and I have added some magnolia stamped snowflakes to the outer of the image. I have machine stitched all my papers and this image.
Do check out what the rest of the team have made for this challenge and we have 2 prizes up for grabs this time from Both Simon Says stamp and LOTV!
I am entering this into catch the bug anything goes, OSAAT anything goes, Crafty pad anything goes, Quirky crafts layer it up and let it snow and Fab and funky bingo (vintage, twine, distressing)
Thanks for coming by my blog again folks, I am happily getting back into my crafting right now!
Big hugs
