Our challenge this wk is Spring Zing! We want to see all your bright and zingy spring colours on your creations! For this challenge I was given a boy image (Oh NO!) actually he is super cute and I dd have to make a birthday card for my brothers birthday so it was a good excuse to bite the bullet and get down to a male card!

I have used stunning Pink Paislee papers (love these) this is actually their halloween stack but they are so funky and zingy they were perfect! I edged in old paper crackle paint and added a maya road ribbon slider on some twine. My film strip and cog is ala mr Holtz himself. My tag underneath is from an old pair of jeans (I save all my tags for this type of thing!) and my sentiment is SU.

I have coloured my image with prismas, still having a bit of an ink issue but not too noticeable hopefully! I am still having withdrawl from the flowers and cheesecloth though!

SFTW Bingo challenge

Morning friends! I hope you are all well out there! Well I have been delving to find that mojo! I have been really busy lately and had lots on my mind, however things are looking like they are sorting themselves out now and I figured if I needed a mojo boost it was time to get out a Saturated canary image again!

We have a new challenge of Bingo over at Stampin for the weekend and here is my card...

I have used the stunning MME papers Miss Caroline (fiddlesticks) they are so yum you just have to see them! My flowers and lace are WOC with my chiffon ribbon and cheesecloth from stash. My fab butterflies are again from the amazing Geraldine at Little snippets (she is on a break until March 1st but check back for her goodies then!), my tag has been cut with nesties, my sentiment is SU and my pearl brad a stunner from MME again.

The lovely Heidi-Mari is hosting our challenge and here is her Bingo list for you to challenge yourselves with. All you need to do is choose 3 items in a row, of course I did all of them except for the glitter as they were all such fab options and definately all ME!

Creative inspirations sketch time and Divas bling it up

Hi everyone! Welcome back to my blog and a new challenge at Creative Inspirations and Divas by design!

I have used papers from my new MME miss Caroline collection (did I say new? whoops so much for stash diet!) I do love these, so pretty! I have used a doily from Crafty Emmas, ribbon and pearls from stash, flowers from WOC, ticket from Tim Holtz and butterflies from Little snippets (yes folks Geraldine is back on line and selling these cuties again!)

My adorable image is from the fab Meljens and has been coloured with prismas. I had a little problem with ink running this time but hopefully not too noticeable. I have smothered her wings in stickles and glamour dust (hence the bling part of my card) not that my photo shows this too well.

I am not overly thrilled with this card. I sort of threw it together in a rush, everything seems to be rushed at the moment as I have so much going on, just need to slow down a little! i actually love everything on the card, the papers, the image, the embellies and the colours but just didn't quite feel it coming together like it should. Anyway I'm entering this into....Papercrafting journey cute, Secret crafters bingo (glitter, flowers and ribbon), Allsorts anything goes, OSAAT use a digi, Sparkles forum things with wings, Crafty bloggers network shabby chic, lollipop crafts anything goes and the cutie pie challenge flower power.

Crafty sentiments DT use 2 DPs

Good morning folks! I'm a bit late today, I had the dentists (or extortionists as I also like to call them!) I have a chipped tooth at the bottom front of my mouth and it has been filled over twice now (or 3 times should I say). It doesn't cause pain, doesn't need painkillers, you can barely see it but the filling keeps falling off so I have to have it replaced. So for the 3rd time today it has been replaced (I asked for it not to, but she was worried about the possible wearing of the inner part of the tooth) so I am again £47 lighter! Don't get me wrong my dentist is great but thank goodness I only have to go once a year or I would be much poorer!

Over at Crafty sentiments this wk we have the super easy challenge of using 2 papers (cardstock doesn't count) so I drifted back to my stunning stack of Tilda papers to make my card..

I have used Tilda Autumn lilac papers along with a free download digi tag which I found on Pinterest. My ribbon, pearls, twine, lace and cheesecloth are from stash. My cute rose charm was from the fab Lisa Jane (thanks sweetie) My fence was cut with a Tim Holtz die and my sentiment is SU.

My stunning image is one of the new easter/spring range of stamps from Crafty sentiments that were launched at the Manchester Craft show just over a week ago. She has been coloured with Prisma pencils and I have distressed all my edge in vintage photo ink.

A Gem of a challenge new sketch

Hi everyone! Hope you are having good weekends! It's sketch time over at a Gem of a challenge again and our sketch this time has been designed by the fab Katie. It was also super hard to decide which image to use this time as Janet has been putting some stunning digis in the store lately!

For my card I have used the stunning Pion papers with some vintage photo DI treatment. The floral stamped edges and carte postal stamp are stempelglede. My beautiful lace and flowers are of course WOC. My pearls and cheesecloth are from stash, my butterfly from little snippets and my sentiment is SU. My stamped postcard underneath my image is also Pink gem designs.

This is Katie's fab sketch. As you can see I have tweaked it a bit (so unlike me lol) by offsetting the piece under the image.

My darling image is Prom queen Emma isn't she adorable? She is available in store now. Emma is fast becoming a favourite of mine already! I have coloured her with prismas and edged in victorian velvet and vintage photo inks.

Saturated canary DT anything but square or rectangle

HI again folks, I hope you are all managing to keep well with all the illnesses floating about!

It's a little bit crazy in our house at the moment, the kiddies are off school and are running around the house like mad things! We have managed to get some homework done each day so that's a pretty good achievement!

Our current house status is I have one on the PC, one hula hooping on the Wii fit (that's always amusing to watch!) and one watching it all with relative amusement waiting for his homemade ice lolly to freeze!

So have you checked out those new releases from saturated Canary yet?! Wow I love them all! We have a new challenge too starting over at the Saturated Canary challenge blog and this one is no square or rectangle cards! Well this makes me scream and run for cover! The only thing worse than making a shaped card for me is a CAS card I'm just no good at it! So I struggled with my comfort zone but I have seen a few of these cards made from a folded circle and figured it was about time I had a go!

I have used my fave papers from Black market paper society again available HERE. I cut a circle and then used an MS doily punch to create the edging. My flowers and lace are from WOC. My pretty butterfly is from little snippets, my bling flourish from sarah's and my sentiment is Waltzingmouse.

I have used this perfect image from saturated Canary called ice cream and pickles. I love her so much but was never sure how much I would use her! But it just so happens Amelia's teacher at school is leaving to have a baby soon and now I have just found out my cousin is pregnant too so she is going to get another use soon! I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have edged everything in spiced marmalade. I have also machine stitched all my edges.

Creative inspirations colour combo and Divas wings and things

Goodness me I'm super late again! It seems that my time is being taken up with lots of children orientated things this half term including a mass of division homework I had to help with this morning so my crafty bits are being pushed to the side!

Over at Creative Inspirations this week we have the challenge of using the colours of cream, blue and brown and at Divas we have the theme of wings and Things. Well my cards regularly have some sort of winged thing on them so I can happily cross over my DT work even though it's not my teams turn at Divas lol!

We are super lucky to be sponsored by the fab Simon says stamp at CI and by the brilliant Delicious doodles over at Divas!

My card has been made with papers from EK success, they are actually 12x12 papers that have been in my stash an age (well done me for using some of them lol!) They seemed perfect as they were in just the right colour combo.

I have used lace and flowers from WOC along with some flowers from Kort &Godt. My flourish is a magnolia doo hickey, my sentiment waltzingmouse and my butterfly little snippets.

My wonderful image is one of the wonderful new releases from Saturated Canary, isn't she wonderful?! I have to say that all of the new releases are just stunning and even though I get my DT quota I still couldn't resist buying ore of them!

She has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have edged in vintage photo and used a stempelglede stamp for the flourishes round the edge.

Crafty sentiments DT Love challenge

Morning lovely people! Well whats all this about losing our followers then? There seems widespread panic about the google friend link disappearing but then conflicting info that it's only on non blogger sites? Anyway I'm sticking to the safe side and keeping my current followers link and my new linky followers link, so anyone who wants to join up feel free as I would be sad to loose any of you!

So how is everyone's valentines day?! We generally don't do anything here but sneaky hubby bought me red roses and choccies this year!

I am a bit late with my card today for the Crafty sentiments LOVE challenge but her it is.....

I have used my yummy new Tilda papers for my card (oops couldn't help myself!) along with pretty cheesecloth and ribbon from stash. Butterfly from e crafts and flowers from WOC. My sentiment is also Crafty sentiments.

My beautiful image is available now from crafty sentiments and she has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have used stickle sparkle on her crystal ball and pink liquid pearls around her.

Kenny K 3 red hearts challenge

Hey there folks! It's sunday (yay!) this means a scheduled post for me as I'm at work (double yay - note sarcasm lol) It's challenge time again at Kenny Ks Krafty Girlz and we have 2 fab prizes up for grabs again!

So what is the challenge then? 3 Red hearts, thats all just put at least 3 red hearts somewhere on your creations. I have been thinking about the idea of putting a B&W image on a coloured card for a while now and then found a bit of inspiration from Tracy who did something similar and added some coloured highlights to the image, so here is hubby's valentines card..

I have used papers from echo park again, along with the obligatory cheesecloth from stash, flowers from mulberry crafts, heart charms from e bay, ribbon and stick pin with beads from stash, bling flourish from sarah's and sentiment from waltzingmouse.

My stunning image is Carmen electrafying from Kenny K and she has been coloured with Prismas. I have distressed all my edges and inked in vintage photo ink. My colouring isn't quite up to scratch here, it was the first card I made after being ill and I was getting too tired to concentrate so much on the colouring lol, sorry hubby!

SFTW colour challenge/photo insp

Hello friends! I have to say that I have started to feel a teensy bit better (phew). It still definately feels like I have swallowed razor blades wrapped in sandpaper (yum) and it hurts to talk (probably a good thing!) but the shakes and temp have gone so I must be on the mend!
There is a new challenge over at SFTW again for another 2 wks and we have 2 fab sponsors the wonderful Simon says stamp and Bugaboo. To be completely honest I was going to miss this one out. I have felt very little energy to do anything let alone craft and my mojo has certainly gone into hiding with my immune system! But I wanted to get back into it (I find it hard to stay away from my crafting desk!) so where do I go when my mojo ego needs a bit of massaging?! Saturated Canary of course lol!

I have used Authentique papers on my card along with some obligatory cheesecloth, lace and flowers from WOC with a prima flower thrown in for good measure. My embroidered butterfly is again little snippets and my little bottle 7 gypsies filled with micro beads.
The challenge is to use blues, browns and creams with this photo for inspiration

I have used the sketch this month over at CLP and have used this stunning mermaid digi from Saturated canary, my sentiment stamp is from SU. I have distressed all my edges with vintage photo ink.

My images has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have used a stempelglede stamp around the corners. I have also used liquid pearls for the tiny bubbles in her hair.

Craft show alert!

Hey folks today is the first day of the creative Craft show in Manchester where Crafty Sentiments have a stall! There are some new releases being launched today! I really should have a card to show you with one of the little darlings but I have been so ill that I haven't crafted at all, so my apologies folks.

Divas by design & Creative inspirations LOVE

Hey there everyone! Thanks for your well wishes yesterday. I have to say I still feel completely rotten and constantly exhausted! I feel like someone has taken sandpaper to the inside of my chest ouch! I was due a dental check up tomorrow but have cancelled that as I don't think my dentist wants to be sharing my germs just now! I had so many plans this week too before the kids broke up from school for half term but I guess that is just not going to happen now is it.
Lucky for me the themes at Divas by design and Creative inspirations are pretty much the same this week, they are all about love! Over at Divas we are sponsored by the fab Crafty Emma's store with a voucher up for grabs and over at Creative inspirations we are sponsored by the wonderful Stamp fairy who have given us some cute images to play with.
I am hoping to make Hubby's valentine card over the next few days, but I really wanted to make these little treat bags for my 3 kiddies as a valentines treat. There are only 2 here as I ran out of steam (or paracetamol) but I will be making another to match these 2 so each of them will get a little something.

I have used papers from the Echo park yours truly collection (I love the Echo park romance collections) and have used cute stamp fairy images along with chiffon ribbon and heart brad from stash and adorable valentines bingo tickets downloaded from the cutting cafe.

I have coloured my images with prismas and have edged in worn lipstick distress ink. I wanted to embellish these a bit more but my energy just got sapped away. I actually quite like them like this though, I know no flowers lol but at least you can see the fabby paper this time!

A gem of a challenge - Fairies

Good morning all! How cold is it right now?! I think I may have to invest in thermals at this rate lol!
Well I thought I was doing ok with the stash buying thing, sort of! I was waiting for my pion papers to come so I don't need those Tilda papers now do I?! I did try to buy them but the order wouldn't process with my paypal account! It was clearly a sign not to buy anymore!!!! But then after a facebook conversation for half the night last night (you know who you are ladies!!) I ended up buying them anyway and using my card lol!!! Hubby has told me I'm a fire hazard with all this card and paper! Oh well at least I have some yummy Tilda papers on the way now too ;)
Its challenge time again at A Gem of a challenge and we have the theme of fairies! Janet has got some super new fairy digis in the store so you should check the little darlings out! Here is mine...

She is so cute! Actually so cute that most of the DT have used her lol! I have also used prima pixie glen papers here (not new papers lol!) along with some wide lace I have had for ages. My seam binding cluster with pins and pebble was inspired by the fabulous Chelsea (she does it so much better than me!) My green seam binding, pebble and white pin was from my wonderful friend Bonnie and the other pin form the fabulous Tracey. My thinner lace and flowers are WOC with a prima flower also. My sentiment is Waltzingmouse and my pearls from stash.

I'm not liking the photos at the mo. I do colour, brighten and white balance them (they would look awful otherwise!) but I still feel they look washed out to the real thing, maybe some better weather will help my photography later!

Saturated Canary DT Pink, Red and White

Hello to all my lovely blogging friends! I hope everyone is managing to keep warm! I'm taking the precaution of wrapping myself up to the size of a sumo wrestler with my trusty Twilight fleecy blanket around my legs! Anyone would think I was 96 not 36 if they came to the door! I refuse to have my heating on all day though with the ridiculous price of gas (I'm sounding like I'm 96 now, though I would have a heating allowance then lol!) Enough with all this soapbox heating talk and on to my crafty endevours of today!
It's another fab challenge over at Saturated canary and it's sooooo my style this time! We have the colour combo of Pink, red and white for you, yum yum yum!

I have made my card using the wonderful Winnie digi from Saturated Canary. She actually comes with the cutest background caravan (trailer) but I wanted to highlight her on her own so I deleted the caravan in Gimp photo software, the luxuries of digi images! I have used stunning Echo park papers Yours truly along with some lace and flowers from WOC, a bling flourish from sarah's, a prima flower, embroidered butterfly from the wonderful Geraldine at Little snippets and sentiment from SU. I have even followed a sketch lol! I loved the one over at Sketchy colours this wk so gave it a shot!

I have distressed all my paper edges and have painted with some white acrylic paint, I have then machine stitched them. My image has been coloured with prisma pencils and edged in worn lipstick and machine stitched again. My cheesecloth and pearls are from stash and my tabs have been cut with nesties fancy tags.

It's challenge time again at Divas by Design! Yes we are offcially a weekly challenge blog due to the massive success of the blog thanks to all our fabulous followers and our awesome participants! We also have a new look blog so do go over and check it out!

My card has been made with these stunning black market paper society papers which you can buy from craftie charlie and I have used this wonderful stamp from tickled pink (she is so fabulous!) I have used ribbon and lace as my flowing items both of which are from my stash. My large feathery embellishment is prima and the rest of my flowers are mulberry crafts, WOC and Kort & Godt. My sentiment is Waltzingmouse, my little butterfly from little snippets and my corner metal embellishment a gift from a blogging friend.

My stunning image has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have used a stempleglede vintage garden flourish stamp around the corners in antique photo DI and I have used a multitude of glamour dust on her wings.

Creative Inspirations Tags and GDT at digital delights

Hi folks! Hope you are all well! Bbbrrrrr it's cold here in the UK, definately indoors weather!
Well I was very lucky to have won the challenge over at Delightful challenges last wk which meant I got to have a GDT spot with them and create with one of the fabby images from over at Digital delights! Of course I also have been a bit sneaky and combined a bit of DT work (come back later for my Divas/Just Traceys DT creation!) as I have 4 projects due on the same day! So I made 2 and sneaked some DT work together!Over at Creative inspirations we want you to make a tag. Not generally my strong point but I really should get out of my comfort zone now and again so here is my tag with the fabulous mermaid digi from digital delights.

Over at Creative inspirations we are being sponsored by Handy hippo and they are giving away a fab stamp and a great set of wooden embellishments too!
For my tag I have used papers from authentique. I have cut the tag and image with nesties labels 10 and have also used a nellie snelle die to cut another shaped piece underneath. I have used a doily and cheesecloth from stash with lace from Bunny zoes and flowers from WOC. My sentiment stamp is SU with a friend heart charm from stash also. My sweet image has been coloured with Prisma pencils and I have edged everything in vintage photo ink.

New release and new challenge at Kenny K!!!!

Hello folks! A scheduled post from me this morning as after my 10 hr shift at work yesterday I am back bright and early to work again today! Good job I like my job isn't it!!
There is a fab new release over at Kenny K, the occupation/work force release and wow are you gonna love these! All the super sassy sexyness of Kenny K in stamps like a fireman, policeman and woman, handyman, teacher etc.

To celebrate the release we have a fab new challenge over at Kenny Ks Krafty Girlz and that is a back to work/retirement theme or simply a no flowers theme. Yep you read right no flowers (how am I gonna do that!) The prize is 5 super digis from the Kenny K store!! or some amazing dies from the fabulous Go Kreate
Well I made a birthday card for a family member and figured as it was a male birthday card I would do my best to hold off on those flowers! I have used the super sassy Naughty nurse for my card.

I have used the oh so fabulous Tim Holtz shabby chic papers again and have also used ribbon from SU, pearl flourish from Sarah's metal work from Tim Holtz with my cheesecloth and silver pearls coming from stash. My sentiments were computer printed.

My stunning image was coloured with prisma pencils and all my edges have been distressed with vintage photo distress ink. I'm sure she will put a smile on someones face!

New Challenge at Stampin for the weekend - Embossing

Good morning folks! Well don't I feel rough as old boots! I have some sort of chesty/throaty thing that is causing me to cough but I'm sure some early nights and and hot drinks will help it (lol early nights!)
On to my card for today and we have a new challenge over at SFTW for another 2 wks and this time the fab Clare has chosen Embossing as our theme! We are sponsored by the wonderful Stamp fairy who have provided us with some adorable images to use.

I have used Wild rose studio spring fling papers that I have had for ages (ooo look at me using up some stash!) and don't they just give you the brightest spring feeling?! I love an orange and lime combo!
I have embossed the paper under my image with a butterfly embossing plate and then inked over in spiced marmalade. My flowers are WOC, Prima and mulberry crafts. My gem flourish (lovin these at the mo!) is from Sarah's, my sentiment is SU and my ribbon, cheesecloth and button are from stash.

My sweet molly image has been coloured with Prismas and is available HERE. I also gave my button a little embossing treatment as I didn't have one in the colour I wanted so I took a white one inked it in green and heated clear embossing powder over it and volia! A little tip I picked up off of Top tip tues and so useful! You can even see the button sides are still a bit white!

Late again?! Divas and Creative inspirations DT...

Yes I know late again lol! Honestly if you met me in person you would know I'm one of the least tardy people you could meet, I hate being late for things! However I clearly can't seem to get myself organised lately when it comes to crafting!
I was at the MEN last night watching my eldest daughter perform at the young voices concert and so a late night was had by all hence the tardiness of this morning's post!
I have been combining my DT work here as well to make my life a teensy bit easier (sneaky!) Over at Divas this wk we have a sketch for you. The sketch does look rectangular but square is fine as long as we can see the basics of the sketch.

It's also a bit exciting over there this wk as this challenge will only last for 1 wk as we are going to a weekly challenge blog and we have 4 new team members too so do go over and say hi to them!
I am also combining this with my creative Inspirations DT card as the theme is anything goes this wk (yay nice and easy!)
Divas are being sponsored this wk by the brilliant Dis digis and Creative inspirations are sponsored by the oh so fab Pretty little ribbon shop, so why not combine the 2 challenges like I have done! ;)

I have used yummy yummy Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for my card with some fab flowers from WOC and my local crafty store. I have also used lace from WOC and metal corners from e crafts which have had the acrylic paint treatment. My fab fence die cut underneath is a new crafty goody for me from Mr Holtz again and the stunning pearl and gem flourish is from sarahs. My sentiment is crafty sentiments.

Good morning blogging friends. I hope everyone had pleasant weekends.
Today sees another challenge over at Crafty sentiments weekly challenge blog and it's another super easy challenge for you to join in with, this time we are asking you to use some lace and pins, perfect for those pretty creations.

For my card I have used Fancy pants beach babe papers again (I am determined to use up some of my paper!) and have used this adorable stamp available from Crafty Sentiments.

New sketch at a gem of a challenge!

Hey folks how are you today?! Its challenge time again at A gem of a challenge and it's sketch week again which has been created by the fab Lisa.
I have used the most fabulous new digi available now over at Pink Gem designs. Her name is flower power Emma and she is just too gorgeous!

For my card I have used papers from the making memories just chillin pad again along with ribbon and cheesecloth from stash. My flowers are from mulberry crafts and WOC with my sweet embroidered butterfly again coming from little snippets and my sentiment is from Whimsy.

My sweet digi image has been coloured with prismas and I have inked around the edges in peeled paint distress ink. I do hope Janet expands her range of these Emmas as I think she is just perfect!

First Saturated canary DT card

Hi to all my lovely blogging friends! Do you remember me telling you a little story a couple of weeks back about hubby stubbing his toes and me thinking about all the crafty things I could do with the left over gauze lol! Well hubbys foot still hurt after 2 and half wks so he had it x rayed and he has broken 2 of his toes (whoops!) So I have been playing with the left over gauze and he has been walking around with broken toes!! He is on the mend now thank goodness with some more gauze and strapping!
I'm a happy, singing blogger today as it is my first DT project with the fabulous Saturated Canary challenge (whoop whoop!) and our challenge is to use die cuts and/or punches on your projects. Here is mine...

This card has been sent already to my mamma as it is her birthday tomorrow (happy birthday mumsy!)I hope she likes it!
I have made this card using papers from making memories just chillin pad, some cheesecloth and ribbon from stash, pearls from Kort & Godt, flowers from WOC, butterflies from little snippets and sentiment from Crafty sentiments. I have used Nesties fancy tags 1 and labels 14 for my tabs and image shape.

My stunning image is Glinda from the new release at Saturated Canary. She has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have added some glossy accents to her bubbles. I think she is so pretty! I have edged in spiced marmalade distress ink.

Creative Card Crew Last DT Card Seeing Red (or just for Kevin Lady in Red lol)

Good morning everyone! Yes my lovely friends this is my last creation for the fabulous Creative Card Crew. What a wonderful time I have had over there with a wonderful bunch of ladies. Our challenge this time is Seeing Red sponsored by the fabulous embellishment store Pizazz Aplenty.
If you are wondering what on earth I am doing with all the songs in my post titles blame Kevin! I visited his blog a few days back and his post title had me singing an old favourite song of my mums which inspired me to put some song titles into my posts to get you all singing (and cursing me!)
So what can you create with lots of red then? Well, I am sure many of you will head down the love and valentines route but I made a birthday card and true to form have used my all time favourite digi designer AGAIN!......

My card has been made using papers from Prima moulin rouge and DCWV immortal love stack (the amazing Twilight themed paper!!!) just love that stuff! My stunning image is Saturated Canary (she is Becki the twin digi of Belle who I used on Friday) and my sentiment is Stempelglede. My flowers are WOC and Mulberry crafts with my bling flourishes from Prima and my ribbon and pearls from stash.

My beautiful sweet image has been coloured with prisma pencils and lightly inked around the edges with vintage photo ink. I have used red sparkly stickles on the vine parts of my sentiment for some added colour and bling but you can't see them too well in my photo. I used to find Red such a hard colour to work with if it isn't a Christmas or valentine card but I actually love the way this turned out.

SFTW Out with the old or "handbags and gladrags"

Well hello there my dear friends I do hope you are all well today! I have a little news for you that goes along with my challenge card toady for Stampin for the weekend. Our dear leader Jan has had to give up her crafting due to family issues and could no longer continue to run the SFTW blog so guess who gets to take over?..... Yes it's me! I know I'm going to be super busy but I couldn't let such a successful blog with a fabulous DT close now could I?!
Well our challenge for you for the next 2 wks is out with the old so we want you to use stash from last year. Strictly speaking that could still mean stash you got for christmas as that was last year!

Of course I must have had some flower withdrawl having only put 1 on my last card so I sort of made up for it here (tee hee!)

My old stash are these fun papers from Fancy pants beach babe pad that I won in a candy last year. My image is one of a set of 2 from SC and I love them both soooo much they are just a little more grown up and funky and this one reminds me of my 11 yr old daughter with long wavy hair and a growing eye for fashion and mobile phones!

Creative inspirations Pearls and swirls

Wow folks what a busy few days I have had! I will let you into that a bit more later on this wk but for now I want to tell you about our fab new challenge over at Creative inspirations.
This week we are sponsored by the super fab Stamp fairy and we have the lovely theme of pearls and swirls. The DT were lucky enough to be able to use some of those stunning sponsor images and today my card only has 1 flower!!!! Yes only 1 so does that mean I have managed to make a CAS card?! Does it heck....

Only 1 flower yes but practically everything else you could get on a card too! I have used the sketch over at sketch saturday for my card (it is in there somewhere!) and have also used my new Echo park papers (yours truly) although I am determined to cover them up! I have used lace and seam binding from WOC with a prima flower and pearl and bling flourish. My hearts are cut with a Tim Holtz die and my tab along the bottom with nesties. My sentiment is an SU stamp inside a holtzy frame painted with gesso and acrylic. My cheesecloth is from stash (or e bay) and my butterfly is from a stunning range at Little snippets. I have just received another order from Geraldine and this is one out of the fab bag of freebies she sent me, what a lovely lady thanks Geraldine!!!

My adorable Barry Angel image from Stampfairy has been coloured with prisma pencils and has been given the glamour dust treatment to his wings! He is sort of fighting his way out of all the bling and pink in there but he is just soooo cute!

Crafty sentiments water themed challenge

Morning all! I hope you had a good weekend, mine was actually pretty good so I'm raring to go this week!
Well, can you guess that I have re joined my fab friends over at Crafty Sentiments again! I clearly couldn't stay away from these fab cuties for too long and the wonderful Suzette and Jo have allowed me to come back on board the DT and have both been so understanding about my other DT commitments knowing it will be unlikely that I will be making cards weekly for the challenge blog but I will be creating when I can.

My card has been made with this adorable Annabel mermaid image isn't she perfect? I don't actually feel I have done her justice as I completely adore her but my mojo wasn't quite top notch when I created this.

A Gem of a challenge photo inspiration

Good morning folks! I'm still trying to get myself back on track with my crafting but the kids have only been back to school 2 days and now I have a weekend of work ahead of me. Maybe next wk will prove a better week for me (and don't even mention the housework!)
It is challenge time again over at A gem of a challenge after our festive break and it was my turn to choose the theme again and I have picked out a little photo to inspire you (for those who don't do girlie I apologise lol!)

My card has been made using echo park papers (I have just ordered the new valentine pad as well because I love these sooo much!) with a doily from Crafty Emmas, metal scroll corner from e crafts, pearls and feather from stash and flowers from WOC and reflections.

You could use the colour themes, the flowers, feathers or starfish/beach theme, whatever inspires you from this image.

My sweet image is chloe in the rain from Pink Gem designs she is now a digi image available in store. My sentiment is one of the polymer stamp sentiments that I adore also from pink Gem designs.
I have coloured Chloe with prisma pencils and edged all my paper edges in vintage photo ink. I have also machine stitched around all my edges.

Hi folks, yes I'm joining in with Debbys challenge of her fave 5 cards of 2011, however, true to form there are more than 5 here! I actually went for 9 cards and I have done my best to not make it an entire saturated Canary fest but it's not far off lol!

Here is my first card using a fabulous Crafts & Me stamp.

My next card uses a wonderful drawing from Sureya, such stunning art work on deviantart

This card uses an Emerald Faerie, so cute! I'm not a major fan of baby images but this I love!

Yep it's my first Saturated canary, love this one and love the neutrals here.

Saturated canary number 2 I adored how her hair turned out on this.

Um yes it's another saturated canary but she is so pretty!

This is a cutie from Make it crafty, lots of pink!

Ha! Another saturated canary I love the deep colours on this.

First card of 2012 Creative inspirations thanks

Hey everyone! Well I do hope to get back to my crafting and blogging self soon! I still have all the xmas stuff to get away and the kiddies are still off school until tomorrow, but then it's hopefully back to normality!So I guess I am pretty later than most for my first card of 2012. I know I blogged on Jan 1st but that card was made in 2011 so strictly speaking this is the first card I have made in 2012. At creative inspirations this wk we have the theme of giving thanks. Perfect for sending out after all the fab goodies santa brought us! We are being sponsored by the fab Handy hippo who are giving away some pro markers as a prize!

For my card I have used papers from Prima alla prima range, along with flowers from WOC (feeling the need to buy some more now!) some fab ribbon given to me by my secret santa (thanks Aunty Sue!) butterfly from little snippets and sentiment from Waltzingmouse. My sweet image is from tickled Pink.The funniest thing though is my background gauze (yes not cheesecloth today) hubby thought he broke his toes yesterday, he stubbed them badly and couldn't walk so I had to strap them up and the gauze I used was too big so I had to cut it in half. I looked at the spare half of gauze and thought how fab it would look on my card! Lol hubby was not impressed that I hadn't even strapped up his toes and was planning out what crafty things I could do with the spare gauze!

My sweet image has been coloured with prisma pencils and edged in vintage photo distress ink. Tickled Pink are actually on summer Hols at the mo over in Oz but the shop will be back open on Jan 12th.

Just Traceys Love is in the air challenge

Hey folks, happy new year to you all! My apologies for the lack of anything inspiring lately but the extensive christmas festivities have taken priority as I'm sure they have in many of your houses! I have also had the joy of working over this new years wkend hence the lateness of todays post.I have been lucky enough to have been asked to join the DT over at Just Traceys (I know I must be crazy joining another DT lol but this is monthly so I'm not too mad!) There is a fab theme over there this month and it s Love is in the air.

I went a little different on my card with no image this time, to be honest we were all ill prior to christmas and this had to be made in a little bit of a rush so I hope I don't disappoint! I have used a sentiment from Waltzingmouse as the focus and it sits inside a Prima flowered heart. I love these, they come in packs pf 2 in varying colours and I have been looking for an excuse to use them! I have used stunning Echo park papers along with cheesecloth and pearls from stash. My pink seam binding is from WOC along with my pearls ribbon slider and my gem brad is from stash. M beautiful embroidered butterflies are again from the fabulous little snippets (must pop across to Geraldines shop again soon!)

Again no challenges! I'm hoping that during next wk I can get myself up to date on challenges and crafting, there is so much I am itching to get started on that is non christmas related!!! You could win a £15 Just Traceys voucher so why not join in and do check out the rest of the teams creations!

Papertake weekly last GDT a sketch!

Hey folks! Hope you all had wonderful Christmasses and are still in full swing with them! Caleb got up at 5.25am so we were shattered by the end of it! Xmas dinner was fab and the kids had some fab pressies which they were thrilled with so the living area is still like a toy shop!I wonder if a few of you are itching to get back to crafting possibly with some new goodies received from santa? Well it's my last GDT over at papertake weekly and this time there is a sketch. I have loved my GDT stint over there with some fabulously talented ladies!

For my card I have used my minds eye papers and the most adorable saturated canary image. I have added some seam binding from SU, some lace and flowers from WOC, pearls from stash, butterfly from little snippets, film strip from Tim Holtz and sentiment from Waltzingmouse.

My sweet image has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have edged everything in vintage photo ink. I have used a layer of cheesecloth under the image too.

Again no challenges today. I am not clued up to the challenge listings at the mo and am spending little time on the net and more time with the family over the festive period!A massive thanks to the fab ladies at PTW for having me for the month of december and a huge thanks to all my fab blogging buddies and followers for saying hi and sticking about my blog!I hope you all continue to enjoy your festive celebrations!

SFTW anything goes

Hi there everyone are you all prepared for christmas? That bug certainly knocked us back for a bit turns out it was noro virus and hubby is still suffering a bit but I think the rest of us are on the mend now. My mum is up with us now and the ham and beef have already been cooked off in preparation for the big day! I will be doing lots more prep today for the big xmas meal as I am sadly having to work tomorrow. I know it's xmas eve but everywhere is still open and needs to be staffed!Our last challenge for the year over at Stampin for the weekend is nice and easy it's anything goes. We are so lucky to have 2 sponsors for this challenge, the little pretty ribbon shop, and Bugaboo For my card I decided to steer as far away form xmas as possible! I went completely girlie and created with another one of Kristas stunning Saturated canary images.

I have used papers from papermania rose garden, I'm actually out of these now and they are so pretty I will just have to get some more! The little letters for the sentiment are also from the same paper pack. My pearls are from Kort & Godt with my cheesecloth from stash, my butterflies from little snippets and my flowers from WOC, a local craft shop and recollections.

I have coloured my image with Prisma pencils as per the norm. I have edged the image with worn lipstick distress ink and distressed the edges of my layers. This is such a darling image she is sooooo pretty!

PTW GDT Last christmas and creative card crew xmas lights

Heythere everyone, firstly I apologise for my lack of posting, this close to chrismas things begin to get super busy around here and then to top that I seem to have picked up this vomiting bug from my kiddies! Yesterday was a total washout for me spending it mostly asleep on my sofa so I hope that today may bring me a better day, we shall see!
I also want to thank those of you who commented on my browser and blogger problems yesterday. It seems that I will prob still use google chrome for most things but if I need to edit any sidebar links I will have to use firefox (I have given up on IE altogether!)
I have been a bit sneaky this wk and combined some DT work as I am lacking so badly in time! Over at Creative card crew we have the theme of christmas lights sponsored by the lovely Robyns fetish and the theme at Papertake weekly is Last Christmas (and yes this was the last xmas card I made this year!).

My papers here are from the fab Robyns fetish, there are a whole rage of these and they are fabulous! With smas songs and presents for backgrounds, they really are lovely. My adorable Tilda is from the sweet christmas range and was just perfect for the lights theme with her cute candle.My lace, wooden reindeer and flowers are WOC with a few local craft shop flowers popped in too. My cheesecloth and pearls are from stash. I chose not to use a sentiment as I didn't want to detract from the lyrical paper.

My darling image has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have added some liquid pearls and stickl sparkle to her white trimming of her hat. I have edged the image, my nesties die cut and all my paper edges with white acrylic paint and some snowtex. My reindeer was painted with white paint and edged in stormy sky distress ink. All the edges have been machine stitched.

I'm a bit behind on the challenge front as I have just not been keeping up but here goes... Blogger issues!!!

Is anyone else having major blogger issues? I switched from IE a while back as it would never keep me signed in and I couldn't post etc but now in google chrome I can post but my options are so limited. In my posting there is no option to switch between HTML script and composing, no option to link, change font or colour of text etc.
Just to do my candy winner post last night I had to write it in IE (after a tonne of signing in) and to be able to link in it and then I had to save it go back through google chrome just to add my signature and to post it to the blog!
This morning nothing else has changed, no options to do anything, am I going to have to download firefox again to see if that works? GGrrrr any help greatly appreciated!

Divas by design Merry christmas challenge

Hello! Yes I'm late again! But this is our last challenge over at Divas by design for this year so I had to join in! We will be running this challenge for 4 wks and there is also a DT call going on so check it out!
Our challenge is also nice and simple "merry christmas", yes I am still making last minute christmas cards! I may have to throw together some specially simple ones with some SU stamps later as I am fast running out!
We are sponsored over the next 4 wks by 2 fabby sponsors, Stitchy bear and Delicious doodles so there are 2 prizes up for grabs! I have made a card using this wonderful image from the Stitchy bear store called the magic of Christmas isn't it fab?

I have used my minds eye holly jolly papers again along with some cheescloth and ribbon from stash. My flowers are mostly wild orchids and my right hand stick pin (green) is handmade by me but the left is one of the wonderful Traceys stick pins, she has the most fabulous stuff on her etsy shop!

My beautiful image has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have added some glamour dust to the star and candles for a little sparkle. The postage marks around the edge are LOTV and the little flourishes are Waltzingmouse. my edges have been distressed with antique photo ink and all layers have been machine stitched.

Creative inspirations white out

Hey folks, hope you are well! Yep the gas men came up good and had the heating back on at 4pm so we could even get our dinner on the go yesterday! Of course I did have to spend the afternoon crafting wrapped in my Twilight eclipse fleece blanket!

Todays challenge over at creative inspirations is White out or white on white. I really can't seem to turn my hand to these with as much style as I would like. I clearly draw an awful lot of my inspiration from the papers I use!

Our sponsor this wk is Meljens who have given the DT some fab images to use.

I have used a fab snowflake embossing plate on my bottom layer with an edge of stardust stickles. I have then added a doily from Crafty Emmas and another script embossed piece of white card. My ribbon and pearls are from stash, my sentiment is watzingmouse and my snowflakes have been cut with mariannes and have been given a stickles and glamour dust treatment.

My Meljens image has been coloured with prismas and also stickled and glamour dusted. I have used liquid pearls on all his white fluffy trimmings as well as on some of the falling snow. Oooo look no flowers!

Papertake weekly GDT I'm dreaming of a ...... christmas

Morning all! well wasn't sunday a wash out?! And yes we were in the pouring rain serving coffee! We got given some of those plastic ponchos you get in theme parks on water rides but only after we were already soaking!! Anyone who has seen my facebook photos will get an idea of how drowned we looked!
Today it is super cold in my house as the gas men who are updating the pipes in the road have turned the gas off so no heating! It should be back on this eve I hope so or it will be 3 pairs of socks in bed! I also went to my works xmas party last night so I need a little warmth in my home after a long night!
On to my card for today which is another of my GDTs over at papertake weekly sponsored this week by the fabulous Whiff of Joy and this time the theme is I'm dreaming of a ..... (your fave colour).. xmas and I chose... well I was going to choose green for a change but still ended up back in the pink!

I have used beautiful papers from Black market paper society's sugar plum range along with snowflakes and icicles cut with Mariannes dies. My flowers are mostly wild orchids with a fab crown pin also from WOC which I have attached some other beads to. I have used silver pearls and cheesecloth from stash along with my white ribbon. My fab sentiment is again from the brilliant waltzingmouse.

My stunning image is yet another one of those beautiful elves from mo manning how cute? I have coloured her with Prismas and added some stickles and glamour dust to her white fluffy trimmings. I have edged with worn lipstick di and machine stitched.

A Gem of a challenge new sketch

Hello again blogging pals! We had some very cold weather yesterday with lots of rain and even a little snow! I hope the weekend isn't so cold although I'm not holding out too much hope! I have to stand outside serving coffee tomorrow I'm not sure how well that is going to go!
We have another challenge for you over at A gem of a challenge and this time it will run for 4 wks rather than 2 so we can have a little xmas break.

I have used Black market paper society papers along with this darling digi Teddy from Pink Gem designs. My flowers are a mixture of WOC and Kort & Godt. My sentiment is waltzingmouse with my cheesecloth and pearls coming from stash.
The sketch this week is by yours truly and here it is...

Lol if you are thinking my SFTW card yesterday looks similar then rest assured it wasn't meant to I guess I just have similar LOs stuck in my head!

I have coloured my sweet image with prismas and have left my bear a sparkly white by just adding stickles and glamour dust to her all over, she is very sparkly in the right light! All my edges have been inked with vintage photo ink.

SFTW Christmas challenge

Hello all my blogging friends! We had a busy day yesterday with xmas plays in abundance! My son was in his school production during the afternoon and then both my girls were in a xmas play with a local youth theatre they belong to so we are well into festive mode here!
Continuing the festive theme I have yet another xmas card to show and this time it's for the SFTW Christmas challenge which is this time sponsored by Simon says stamp.

Well, I just love these little elves by the oh so fabulous Mo Manning (I may have another of these making an appearance next wk!) I have used yummy papers from my minds eye holly Jolly with a selection of flowers from the fab wild orchids. My tabs at the side have again been cut with nesties and I have used gold brads on them (yes brads! Almost forgot how to use these lol!) My cheesecloth is from stash (you can grab it from e bay in the kitchenalia dept) and my sentiment is Waltzingmouse. If you have never had any Waltzingmouse sentiments before check them out they stamp absolutely beautifully and I swear by them!!

My fabulous little image is Elf Finn and I have coloured him with prismas. I used 2 colours of stickles on the bauble for a real sparkly effect. He also has stickles on his white trimmings and the postage stamps around the edge are LOTV. I have inked with forest moss and machine stitched the edges.

Creative inspirations Snow much fun!!

Good morning folks! It's a bit noisy here today. The national grid are digging up right outside our house and drive (fabulous) so no naked flames around here with the delightful smell of gas about! I hope they are finished by the end of the week!
We have a new challenge for you over at Creative Inspirations this wk and our theme is "snow much fun", we are sponsored by the fab simon says stamp and I have made a xmas shaker card but can you spot my multitude of mistakes?!!!!

Mistake number 1 - I had to use a double layer of sticky foam to create enough space for my micro beads to move around however this has created some stickiness to the sides so some of my beads are stuck around the frame lol!
Mistake number 2 - I used fun flock on all the white fluffy bits of my image, however all the friction from the micro beads being shaken about has worn off the fun flock and stuck most of it to the inside of my acetate!!!
Mistake number 3 - I coloured the top part of her scarf in blue thinking it was part of her jacket when it should have been brown oops!
Now I have catalogued all my mistakes........ I followed the sketch over at sweet sunday sketches for my card and used papers from My minds eye holly jolly collection. My lace and flowers are wild orchids with a tulle flower from Kort & godt in there. My tag was a freebie digi download from a blog I got over a year ago so can't remember were, sorry! My cheesecloth is from stash.

My image is a darling digi from wee stamps coloured with prismas. I cut a frame and painted the edge with snowtex and added white micro beads to give a snowy shaker card effect.

GDT at papertake weekly!!!

Yep I'm back and how exciting is this?!! I am so lucky enough to be a GDT over at the fabulous papertake weekly for the month of December!!! This weeks challenge is one of those super easy anything goes too which pretty much gives me free reign on anything (not always a good idea lol!) the option is for something dangly (I didn't dangle lol!) and we are sponsored by the wonderful LOTV. This gave me a great excuse to ink up one of my new LOTV stamps (I bought 3 amazing new stamps and haven't inked any of them up yet!!!)
Warning though this post is photo heavy!!!! I made a book card something I have wanted to try but never got round to before so here it is...

I used beautiful papers from Tim Holtz shabby chic pad along with lace and flowers from Wild orchids, there are some prima flowers, some stamens from a local craft shop and a handmade pebble in there too! My beautiful butterflies are from little snippets and my cheesecloth is from stash, my tags have been cut with nesties and my pearls are Kort & godt.

I have coloured my pretty image with prisma pencils and machine stitched the edge. My sentiment is also LOTV from the same stamp set and her wings and snowflakes have been stickled and glamour dusted.

This is the back of my book, again nesties tags and also nesties for my creator stamp. All layers have been inked with vintage photo and machine stitched. My ribbon is wired blue chiffon ribbon from hobbycraft.

Here you can see the book part of concertinaed card and how it ties together.

And here is the inside, the let hand tag has been cut with nellie snellen and stamped with a 7 gypsies stamp. My pearls are again Kort & godt and my butterfly is e crafts. On the right I have used lace from the local market and a xmas magnolia stamp.
These are such a beautiful way to give a little gift within a card!

Hello yes it's me super poor blogger!! Actually I have managed to get the kiddies germs now so even though I have managed to get them back to school I'm now feeling rough! I guess it's good to get it all out of the way before Christmas.
Does anyone have snow then? We haven't had any so far but it is pretty cold out!

I have used this darling Saturated canary image, she is so cute! I have also used papers from the utterly gorgeous black market paper society. I have followed the sketch over at sweet sketch wednesday with a tonne of extra embellies of course! My lace and flowers are wild orchids, with a 7 gypsies bottle filled with micro beads, a recollections butterfly and some diamante bling. My gems are from stash and my sentiment is hAnglar.

I have coloured my sweet image with prisma pencils and have stamped the edge with a stempleglede stamp in worn lipstick distress ink. I have added some dusty concord distress ink to edges and also some snowtex to may layered paper edges.

Apologies for my absence!

Hi folks,

Just wanted to say sorry for my lack of blog posts and creativity! I have been dealing with sick kiddies all week, can you believe Caleb has been to school for just 3 days in the last 2 wks! I think he is on the mend now, although the doctor today was slightly worried that his dry cough is symptomatic of asthma so we need to keep an eye on him.

I also had my eldest home today, I'm hoping she will get better over the weekend and that my week may return to normal next wk!

I have also been trying to get the Christmas festivities started here with some decorating and light hanging, most of it is done now although I'm still not feeling all that festive yet!

I am also trying to get ahead on my DT work for the festive period as I will be busy with the family and my mum coming up so I am creating behind the scenes just not able to show you anything yet!

Ah just hearing another little person getting up so off to do my mummy duties again, thanks for sticking with me!

Creative inspirations colour combo and Divas anything goes

Hi folks! Its a busy household here today with the teachers strike and therefore all the kiddies at home! Of course it would be in the week when hubby is on nights so it is a mammoth job trying to keep them quiet enough so he can sleep! We are going to break out all the christmas decorations today so that should keep them busy for a bit!
We have another challenge this wk over at creative inspirations (sponsored by crafty ribbons) and I'm being a bit sneaky by combining my DT work and using this for the Divas by design challenge too! Our colour combo at CI is purple, Turquoise and white and our theme at Divas is nice and easy anything goes (sponsored by crafty pad)!
I haven't inked up my sweetpea stamps in too long and was inspired to do so by another one of my CI teamies using a sweetpea too this wk! I also thought it was about time I attempted to dig through some of my ever increasing pile of scraps so this card is made with a selection of leftovers from digi downloads at far far hill.

I have used the sketch at sketch saturday for my card (it is there I have just covered a fair proportion of it!) and have used flowers and lace from wild orchids with cheesecloth and pearls coming from stash, sentiment from Waltzingmouse and butterfly from e bay.

My beautiful image has been coloured with prisma pencils, inked around the edges with dusty concord and machine stitched. I have used stickles and glamour dust on the scrolled moon behind her. There are stickles on all the flowers too but the dull winter light doesn't do much for sparkly photos!

A Gem of a challenge new sketch

Hey folks this is a scheduled post from me to let you know there is a new challenge over at a gem of a challenge and it is monochromatic! I'm afraid I don't have a card this time due to our poorly boy and the hospital visit but the DT have provided some fab inspiration for you.
I do want to let you know about some fab new digis that Janet has in the store now, look at these cuties!!!

SFTW friends challenge

Hey there! My apologies for being late with this, I'm sure you understand given the weeks events, luckily for me most of this card was made Tuesday before we went to hospital so I only had to tweak a few bits to have it ready for the challenge today over at SFTW which this time is "Friends". This seems pretty apt as it has been wonderful to have all the lovely comments from my wonderful blogging friends about Caleb's visit to the hospital, thank you all so much!

This time there is 2 prizes up for grabs from LOTV and In2stamps, so the DT had freedom to use whatever they wished for their creations and what am I going to turn to if thats the case?! Of course another Saturated canary digi! I have used Prima Pixie Glen papers on my card with a LOTV recipe sentiment (isn't it cute?!) My flowers are Wild orchids and mulberry crafts and my butterfly is e crafts. My little tile inside the flowers is also from the Prima Pixie glen range and my pearls are Kort & Godt.

My SC image has been coloured with prisma pencils (these 2 remind me of 2 little sisters like my 2 girls) and I have edged in worn lipstick and machine stitched all my edges, there is of course a spot of cheesecloth under there too!

I would like to enter this into Flutterby wednesday open challenge, My mums crafts shop things with wings, Crafts and me Shabby Chic, Dutch dare recipe (I used images, PP and layers), saturated canary anything goes and bearly mine my favourite things (these sc images are always my faves).

The update for today is that we had a major fight in getting his steroids down him this morn which resulted in him spitting it all over himself and me! I also had to get up at 4am to give him his inhaler but he is so used to this now that he did it really well and went straight back to sleep! He is playing lego today and seems really well so thanks for all your kind words.

Quick update

Hi folks just a quick update from me, I have only just got back from the hospital. Yep the doctor told me to get down to A&E as my little mans breathing wasn't good and to cut a long story short we were kept in overnight. He had a viral infection which caused respiratory problems and his oxygen saturation was too low to come home and his temp kept climbing.

However all is fine now though, he has to have an inhaler and some steroids for the time being but he is fine in himself. I however look a wreck! I had no sleep Tues eve as he was so hot, ill and wheezing and then last night was in hospital with him hence no sleep again and very little food so I'm not particularly coherant at the mo so apologies for not being about your blogs!

Creative inspirations winter colours, Blue, White and grey

Hello folks hope we are all well today! Its a bit of a sickie house here my little man came home yesterday and practically collapsed on me with a high temp and hacking, wheezing cough. He had been popped into bed with a large dose of kiddie ibuprofen and is not going to school today and probably not for the rest of the week just to be on the safe side. It has been a seriuos lack of sleep here so I apologise for my lateness today and possible incoherance!
There is a new challenge this wk over at Creative inspirations. We want you to use wintry colours Blue, white and grey. We are sponsored this week by The paper shelter who have given the DT some fab images to work with.

I have used the sketch over at the sweet stop for my card and have used these fab papers from Authentique which were perfect for this colour combo. My lace is prima with my cheesecloth, ribbon and pearls coming from stash. My flowers are wild orchids and my pins are homemade (one by me and one by my lovely friend Bonnie). My sentiment is Waltzingmouse and my tab was cut with nesties. This card is super sparkly but the photos don't show it! I used snowtex on the edges of my papers and this time used gesso and glamour dust on my flowers, trouble is my gesso is cream not white so it sort of looks like dirty snow lol!

My image is paper shelter coloured with Prismas. I have edged in stormy sky distress ink and machine stitched. My snowman is covered with glamour dust and I have used glossy accents for the snow drops
I am also entering this into Kaboodle doodles it's cold outside, Pollycraft xmas fun, Lollipop crafts anything goes, Papertake weekly xmas crackers, Digi tues sparkle and shine and Ladybug crafts ink winter blues.

Creative card Crew monochromatic with paper pretties

Hi friends! I must apologise for my absence again, I didn't even have the excuse of work at the weekend as I had a rare weekend off but that was because it was our wedding anniversary on Saturday and we had a christening to go to on Sunday so we were kept super busy anyway!
I did of course go and see the fabulous Breaking Dawn on Friday (twice lol) and thoroughly enjoyed it. I felt that the movie kept close to the book this time so I was pleased! Can't believe I have to wait over a year for the final part though!
On to our new challenge over at Creative card crew this fortnight and another one of my fave themes, Monochromatic. We are sponsored by the fabulous paper pretties who have given the DT some wonderful images to use. I had my own paper pretties image already which I used on my card.

I have used papers from both Prima and Tim Holtz to create my mono pink card. My large paper heart doily is from poppys cabin and my cheesecloth is from stash. My pink seam binding, lace and flowers are Wild orchids with my butterfly coming from Little snippets.

I have coloured my image with prisma pencils and have machine stitched all the edges of my layers. I have also used worn lipstick distress ink on my doily. My sweet sentiment in the bottom left of my card is whimsy.

New Divas by design challenge Monochromatic

I know, I know I'm a day late with this, sorry! I never seem to be on top of anything at the moment and christmas is creeping up far too fast for me to even consider the repercussions!
Yesterday saw another new challenge over at Divas and this time we want you to go all monochrome. Now you don't have to go all black and white like I did, the rest of the team have done some fab projects in shades of blue, green or pink.
We are lucky enough to be sponsored by the digi garden whose images some of the DT have showcased.
But is that another saturated canary digi I spy on here?! Yes, I'm afraid I still can't get enough of these!

I have used papers from Prima printery range and have followed the sketch over at sketch and stash for my card. My new stash is my flowers, lace and pearl strings (recent order from Wild orchids!) and my old stash is my brad (I hardly ever use brads) My ribbon is also from my stash and my sentiment is SU. my Fabulous little embroidered butterfly is little snippets. I have got some lace butterflies from WOC too but I find the little snippets have a tougher backing on and therefor lift my butterfly off the page, it depends what look you are going for.

My stunniing image is of course saturated canary, this (in true twilight form...1 day to go!!!) is Rose a vampire. I will of course be seeing the new film tomorrow (twice) so I maybe MIA lol! I have given rose a monochrome look with 10 different shades of grey of prisma pencils.

Hey there peeps! I'm a bit late with my creative inspirations post but better late than never! We have a fab sketch over there this wk and are sponsored by the super fabulous Kenny K!!! so here is my card...

I have used these great milton & Co xmas papers that I got free with a magazine, along with some cheesecloth and pearls from stash, a sentiment from 7 Gypsies and flowers from wild orchids and mulberry crafts.

My oh so fabulous Mrs Claus image is Kenny K. She has been coloured with prisma pencils and given some glamour dust treatment for extra bling!

An Autumn fairy

Happy weekends folks! I know, crazy me posting on a sunday! Well I am still at work and this is scheduled but I just had to get playing when I got this adorable fairy digi from Krista over at Saturated Canary so I had a bit of crafting time to myself on friday eve and this is what I made...

I have used the sketch over at Digi doodle shops best this wk and have again used stunning papers from the oh so wonderful Black market paper society. I have painted my edges with old paper crackle paint and didn't even use the sewing machine this time!!! My gems and cheesecloth are from stash. My butterfly is e crafts and my flowers are a mix of Prima, wild orhids and mulberry crafts. My bottle is 7 gypsies filled with micro beads (a little embellie inspiration I got from the lovely Bonnie) and my sentiment is SU.

My beautiful image is likely to be my most fave SC image yet and she has been coloured with Prismas and glittered on her wings with glamour dust.

A new sketch at a gem of a challenge

Good morning blogging friends! Well I'm off to work again (boo hoo) still don't feel 100% but it's work and I have probably only phoned in sick 3 or 4 times over the entire 8 years that I have worked there so why break a habit?!
I hope everyone else has some fun planned for the weekend?! Here to kick start us into that weekend is another fabulous sketch over at A gem of a challenge and it's a corker why not pop across and see it? We are also asking you to accompany the sketch with some stitching real or faux. Here is my interpretation...

I have used papers from my age old DCWV xmas stack and have used a doily from poppyscabin along with lace, seam binding and ribbon slider from Wild orchids. My flowers are a range from Wild orchids, Mulberry crafts and a local craft shop. My sentiment is held in place by a Holtzy memo pin.

My sweet image is santa Kaya from Pink Gem designs and she has been coloured with prisma pencils. My sentiment ticket is also a Pink Gem stamp and I have edged them all in worn lipstick distress ink. All my edges have been given a bit of snowtex and then machine stitched. Kaya has also had some fun flock added to her fluffy dress edges, cuffs etc.

Just because I felt like it!

Hi everyone! I decided to make a card just because I felt like it today! No DT card, no commission just something I wanted to do. To be honest I have plenty of DT work needing to be done but I feel like my mojo needs a bit of a massage with some playing about. I am getting used to the antibiotics so I managed to have some fun...

I have followed the sketch over at Stamp with fun for this card and have used some of my all time fave papers from the black market paper society available here. I have used flowers from Prima, mulberry crafts, Wild orchid crafts, kort & Godt and a local craft shop (do you think I may have an excess of flowers lol!) My stick pin is a crown pin from Wild orchids along with some beads of my own. The pearls and cheesecloth are all from stash, my lace is kaisercraft, my sentiment is SU and my fab embroidered butterfly is little snippets.

My beautiful image is another one of those stunners from Krista at Saturated Canary, this is sleeping beauty and she has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have painted all the edges of my papers in Old paper crackle paint and I have machine stitched.

Creative inspirations stitching challenge

Hiya folks! I know I've not been about much again, sorry! I'm feeling a bit yuck as I am on a rigorous course of antibiotics for a skin infection and they are causing me to feel really quite ill. Monday was a total washout on the sofa and it's going to be a bit of a struggle all week until I have finished the course! Don't want to complain though as they will make me all better in the long run!
Today sees another chalenge over at Creative inspirations as chosen by Shell which is to use stitching (faux or real) on your projects.
We are sponsored this wk by the fab Bunny zoes and this is what I have made....

I have followed the sketch this wk over at sketch saturday (haven't done one of their sketches in ages but this one really appealed) and have used papers from my minds eye holly jolly collection again (love these vintage style xmas papers) My heart doily is from poppyscabin with my lace coming from stash. My chipboard snowflake is from my mums craft shop and has been primed, painted with acrylic paint, distressed with vintage photo and stickle sparkled. My flowers are from a fab range at Wild orchids and have been given the snowtex treatment.

My sweet image is one of the adorable new Magnolia Tildas from the sweet xmas range, she is sooooo cute! She is sitting on a magnolia NOEL stamp from a previous xmas range. I have coloured in prisma pecnils and distressed the edge with stormy sky and vintage photo. All my edges/layers have been machine stitched.
