Marvelous Magnolia Anything but a card

Happy Thursday everyone!
It's pretty cold here, no sign of snow yet but plenty of heavy frost. I wonder if we will have a white xmas?!
Anyway I have a little treat for you today! We have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and it is to make anything but a card. I normally go for a tag or box but I have been wanting to do a sweet tree for xmas (another one of those PInterest inspired things!)
So here it is..
I have used Lindt cookies and cream chocolates for my tree, I was going to do the standard red ones but these caught my eye mmm! They are stuck to a ball of oasis. The stick is a bamboo cane covered in ribbon and the metal bucket is just a standard galvanised one primed with gesso and painted. I have added blue ribbon to the base and white lace to the top.
Here is a close up of the chocolate tree top. It will be center piece to our xmas table for after the main meal!
Of course, though, this is a Magnolia event so I had to use some cute maggies to pretty it up..
This cutie has been coloured with prisma pencils and she has stickle sparkles and glamour dust on her wings, wand and halo but i'm afraid the poor light here doesn't really show that off to full effect!
This is one of my newest cuties! She is also coloured with prisma pencils. She has stickles on her stars and I have used chalk to create the background. I have also added some liquid pearls to her frame.
Now I think about it I should have probably added some butterflies around the bucket but thats an after thought for you!
Anyway do check out what the rest of the team have made as there are some stunners over there! You could also win a fab prize from Magnolia-licious or The ribbon girl if you join us this time!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs

  1. Now that is just stunning Rebekah!! Love, love, love the colours and I think I'd be inspired too if I saw it on Pintrest!!

Hope all the bugs have finally left your house and everyone is back to 100%?

We went to Emily's school play today - she was an attendant to a Wise Man, very cute! Didn't have to say anything and looked rather bored at a couple of points, but sang very happily!!

It's a Christmas sing-a-long tomorrow - off to do some practising!!!
