Crafty ribbons Best of British GDT

Whoop whoop happy Jubilee weekend my friends!!! How I would have loved to show you a piccie of my kiddies all dressed up yesterday but as soon as they got home they whipped off their clothes for their bathing suits and jumped into the paddling pool!
Do you have much planned to celebrate our Queen's jubilee then? We have the bunting and the flags at the ready and are going to have a big family picnic style party. No street parties around here (too much red tape with councils!) so we are having our own mini celebration. I have photos somewhere of me as a very small girl enjoying the silver jubilee street party, I even have a mug, spoon and pen from back then too!
In keeping with the jubilee and British theme it is time for another Best of British event at Crafty Ribbons and as they are sponsored today by Pink Gem Designs I am sooooo lucky to be GDTing there!
I absolutely loved making this!! Sorry that the card is slightly skew in the photo!
I used the fabulous Portobello rd papers (love these) with the most amazing "keep calm" ribbons from crafty ribbons aren't they just fab! I also used flowers from WOC and Mulberry crafts, my sentiment is Waltzingmouse and my post mark stamps are also portobello rd.
It's actually a bitter sweet card as my son's best friend moved yesterday, his dad is in the army so they move a fair bit, so this was a goodbye card for them. Caleb is pretty sad as losing your best friend at 5 yrs old can be hard but we will keep in touch.
This fab patriotic teddy digi from Pink Gem designs has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have machine stitched all the edges and double matted.
I am entering this into
OSAAT red, white and blue, Crafty pad colours of your flag, Simon says stamp anything goes, My mums craft shop red, white and blue, Charisma bling, MAWTT cool Britannia and Digi doodle shops best get the bunting out.
Do check out the rest of the amazing samples from the PGD DT including some of our fab new teamies!
Thanks for coming by again and enjoy your celebrations!

Crafty sentiments new digi release

Ugh what a morning! I hate being in a rush and being late it just gets me stressed out. So imagine my despair as Amelia (laying in bed next to me) picks up the clock and says "why does it say 8.34 on your clock mummy?" Up like a shot and hoping the clock is wrong (it isn't) I am rushing round like a mad thing trying to get everyone sorted for school, we leave at 8.40 at the latest! I am thanking my lucky stars it was jubilee day and so I did not have to have any packed lunches to sort out (phew)
We DID get to school on time though the girls hair was a bit lumpy in their ponytails and I forgot Caleb's reading folder but we were all dressed and things were pretty much sorted apart from me being half asleep and in desperate need of coffee! Hopefully later I will get a photo of them all in their red, white and blue regalia if they aren't too much of a mess!
Phew, well today sees a new digi release over at Crafty sentiments and these are just the cutest mangas!
We had the choice of 3 to use and I actually went for the boy! (what's up with me lol?!)
I thought it was about time I made up a storage of thank you cards especially as the school year will end before you know it and this image is perfect for a card from my son to his teacher.
I used MME Miss Caroline Fiddlesticks papers along with yummy flowers from WOC and Mulberrycrafts, my butterfly is little snippets and my sentiment Waltzingmouse. The blue pin is one from the lovely Tracey and the lemon pin is one I made myself.
My perfectly adorable image has been coloured with prisma pencils and is available HERE. I have also machine stitched all my edges and have added some stamping with a stempleglede stamp.
I am entering this into..
Whimsy bingo (flowers image and pearls), Crafts and me add a ribbon, The emerald faerie garden buttons and Paperplay double delight (2 pins).
Please do check out the other creations showcasing these wonderful digis, the facebook group have also joined in so there is a tonne of inspiration!

Crafty Sentiments anything goes

Hi all! I really am such a bad blogger at the moment! Blame this wonderful weather and of course my lack of organisation!
The Olympic torch comes to our town today!!!! I don't know if I will be able to brace the crowds with the kiddies to see it this evening, but how exciting?!
I have also decided I need to loose some pounds and I am just absolutely no good at dieting, as soon as I decide to go on a diet I have a sudden urge to eat half a packet of fruit shortcakes and a kit kat chunky! So instead I am calorie counting with myfitness.com. It's pretty good actually as it makes me completely aware of what I am eating (it really was very poor) and I can have anything I like but if I have something bad I just need to cut down somewhere else to balance it all out, well 3 days in and I'm not fighting the need to consume a multipack of snickers so maybe this could work for me? Of course there is now the added exercise I am getting walking the dog so I am looking forward to shedding those few pounds!!!
Enough waffle it's card time... Over at Crafty Sentiments this week we have the fabulous challenge of ANYTHING GOES (everyone's favorite) I'm not all that sure of my card, but then when I haven't crafted for a few days I never am...
My colours are quite poor this morning even though I have used photo software, oh well.
I have used papers from Fancy pants along with some flowers from WOC and Mulberry crafts, my sentiment is Hanglar and everything else is from my stash.
My sweet Annabel mermaid stamp has been coloured with prisma pencils and edged in peeled paint ink before mounting.
Do check out the rest of the teams wonderful creations this week.
I am now off for my black coffee, no sugar (all 2 cals worth!) and not much else as I am having a friend over tonight for takeaway indian so I need to watch my count today!
Thanks for coming by!

My butterfly is a wooden kaiserkraft one which has been given the crackle paint treatment, my flowers are WOC and my sentiment is Papertrey ink.

Saturated Canary bookmarks!!!

Evening folks! Let's just say punctuality isn't my strong point at the moment! I still haven't sorted my Divas card (only 2 days late!) and now I'm late posting this creation!
It has been glorious today and we had the school summer fair so I queued in the sun for face painting and glitter tattoos, a good day for it! I don't think our little Siberian husky is enjoying this heat though!
On to todays challenge at Saturated Canary and *groan* it was a challenge for me. This time we are making bookmarks. Don't get me wrong I need loads of bookmarks and my girls are always asking for them but to me this is like making a CAS card, practically nil on the embellishment front and just so limiting!!! I'm not sure I can pull this sort of thing off!
Of course there was only one theme I was going to go for......
I have used one of Kristas new digis My Twilight Mama available in the new Saturated Canary store! I love both the little girl and her mum but as I was limited on space for my bookmark and didn't want the image to be too small, I edited out the girl and just used the mum part of the image. I also used the most fabulous DCWV Immortal love stack (especially for Twilight fans!) along with some black bling, MS punched butterflies and some beads for the dangly.
My gorgeous image has been coloured with Prisma pencils and lightly inked in black around the edges before mounting.
For my dangly I have used numerous beads, pearls and charms bought from different suppliers on e bay. I do love a dangly on my bookmarks!
For those in the know and wondering why all my Twilight books are white and not black, these are my "special" copies! I do have the standard black ones which all look worse for wear, broken bindings etc through so much reading (the way a good book should look) but these are my white copies with red edged pages and have never been read hence the perfect bindings (yes I know just a little bit crazy!)
I would like to enter this into....
Dis digi designs show us some bling, cupcake crafts book lover, Bearly mine anything goes, LCI wings, rubys rainbow wings and Deep Ocean swirls.
Do check out the stunning bookmarks made by the rest of the team!
Thanks so much for coming by friends
Big hugs

Creative Inspirations Anything goes DT card

Hello everyone! Goodness it has been forever since I last blogged, sorry! Things have been busy here behind the scenes, both crafting and not so my apologies for my absence!
Our dear pup has had her final vaccinations so she can go out for walking soon which will be great as she needs to be tired out, she is getting into allsorts right now!
It's always busy this time of year for us too as we seem to have birthday parties by the tonne, the kids always stay out or up later as it's so bright, there are school fetes and sports days and then we have the jubilee parties organised by school and brownies/guides. My eldest is going on guide camp for the first time in a week and then as soon as she comes back we are off on a family holiday to butlins (we also come back the day before my daughter's birthday!) So I have resorted to making lists of things I need to do and organize or else nothing would get down out of sheer panic!
Enough of my excuses it's challenge time again at Creative Inspirations and we are lucky enough to be sponsored by the Fabulous Simon Says stamp for our most brilliant theme of ANYTHING GOES, phew thank goodness for the easy one!
My apologies for the card on the challenge blog, I took it late at night so it's with the flash and I retook for this as I'm not a big fan of flash enhanced photos!
My card has been made with stunning Teresa Collins papers (ooo so want some more of these they are yummy!) I have also used a little cheesecloth and a large heart doily. Some folks have been asking lately where I get my cheesecloth and i get it from Amazon generally or e bay depending on price and it comes in a fairly big pack that lasts me ages.
I was meant to machine stitch all my layers and then totally forgot and stuck it all down duh!
My pretty flowers are WOC, prima and Mulberry crafts with my sentiment from waltzingmouse and my butterfly from little snippets.
How do you like my new watermark too? Janet at Pink Gem Designs has some fabulous ones and so cheap!
My darling image is one from the Emerald faerie garden. I adore this image for baby cards and really should break out my EF images more often as they are adorable! I have coloured her with prisma pencils and stamped the corners with a stempelglede flourish stamp.
I would like to enter this card into..
Crafts 4 eternity wonderful wings, Fussy and fancy new baby, Secret crafter anything goes, sweet stampin faeries and angels, Allsorts buttons and bows, Stamp scrap and doodle flowers, OSAAT anything goes and stamptacular In the garden.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again folks. Do check out the rest of the teams stunning creations this week. I am hoping to be back soon with my Divas by design card!!
Big hugs

SFTW sketch challenge DT card

Morning all! Well wasn't it rotten weather yesterday morning? I had experience of this first hand as I went to Chester zoo with the year 5's of school yesterday and we stood in the rain for 3 hours before we had a glimpse of the Queen who was nice and dry in the monorail I might add! It was fun, the kids were really good actually considering how much waiting they did and we got a really good view of the Queen. We also then had some fun at the zoo!
Anyway, enough waffle we have a new challenge over at Stampin for the weekend and this time we have a fab sketch, do check it out on the challenge blog!
We are sponsored by the fab In 2 Stamps and this is my card...
I have used Black market paper society papers (letters from paradise) My flowers are from Mulberry crafts, my lace is from WOC and my butterfly is e crafts. I have used a whimsy sentiment on a magnolia cut tag
My image is another stunner from Mo's, she is so cute! I have coloured her with prisma pencils and inked the edges in worn lipstick DI.
I would like to enter this into..

Creative Inspirations CASE it DT card

Good morning!
Well the circus was great! We were a bit dubious to start with (ever the doubtful!) but it was actually brilliant. I was astounded by what these people could do with their bodies, I sat in my unfit shameness scoffing skittles and candy floss!
The kids loved it though so it had the desired effect all round, even with a bit of a later night than normal.
Today at Creative Inspirations we have the challenge of CASE it again. We have a fab card for you to case over on the challenge blog provided by our lovely DT member Caroline and we are sponsored by the pretty little ribbon shop this week. Here is my version....
I really wanted to make something with lilac in! I have felt that I have neglected my lilac stash of flowers for too long so hunted out some papers that suited! These are from Prima (that I have had for ages) although I have done a good  job of hiding most of them again!
My lace, pearl string and flowers are WOC, my metal corner and butterfly are e crafts, my pearls are kort and godt and my sentiment is SU.
I have given all my paper edges the crackle paint treatment as well as my metal corner and button. My flowers, butterfly and base of my image have been given the snowtex treatment!
Now, there are not many Tildas that I just HAVE to have. I see a few I like and buy some now and again but this one I just adored as soon as I saw her so even had her on pre order! I will be using her a bit I reckon, she is adorable! I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have added stickles to her wings.
I would like to enter this into
Fairytale challenge things with wings, 2 sisters make it girlie, Catch the bug things with wings, Magnolia stamp lovers image with a flower, Paper sundaes things with wings, Bunny Zoes anything goes, Papertake weekly in the garden and Tuesday throwdown fabric
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again! There is a new challenge over at Divas by design again today and it involves PINK so why not check that out too!
Do check out my CI teamies on this challenge!
