Back to school

Just a quick post from me today it's all go go go here!

I have a little Gem of Inspiration to show you today..

On an appropriate back to school theme I have made a school bookmark using school girl Chloe from Pink Gem Designs.

I have used Echo park this & That papers along with a large Crop-a-dile eyelet, wooden puzzle pieces from Crafty Emblies and some different coloured twine.

I plaited the twine and attached all the "danglies" with giant pink jump rings.

I have coloured my cute image with prisma pencils and edged in vintage photo ink.

And this is the reason for the appropriateness...

My eldest started her first day at High school today!

Wow what a big step.

New challenge at Pink Gems!

Morning everyone! I'm off to work early this morning, I hope everyone else has fun plans for the weekend!

We have a fab new challenge over at A Gem of a challenge today and it is "One for the boys".

Mmmm never one of my faves! I wish I didn't struggle so much with male cards as I could always use more but it never really occurs to me to make any!

I did need to make a baby card though for my cousin who recently had a baby boy so this was the result.

Ha ha see I still went all pretty, well you can get away with it for baby cards!

I used Teresa collins papers, with flowers from WOC and Kort & godt and a pin from the lovely Tracey.

My butterfly is little snippets, unique tag is wild asparagus (I've had this for years!) pearsl are Kort & godt and my sentiment is LOTV.

My sweet image is from Pink Gem Designs and has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have added glamour dust to the hanging stars and moon for some extra sparkle.

I would like to enter this into..

New challenge at Saturated Canary

It seems that I am still lapse at posting on my blog at the moment! I have loved having my kiddies home for the summer but I am really ready for some sort of order and normality in my life right now!

My eldest is at another of her team building and getting to know you sessions at High school today. She starts officially next Tuesday with the other 2 returning on Wednesday but as I am working Fri, sat and sun next week I don't think I will feel normality until the week after!

On to todays card which is for the new challenge over at Saturated Canary which is "Dotty" this time!

I have used dotty papers from Teresa Collins and MME in lemon with lilac matting. My stunning feather flower and gem flourishes are prima, my other flowers are wild orchids with my sentiment from LOTV and my oh so stunning butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner (just waiting on my next order as these are clearly my new obsession!)

My stunning image is "Double take" from the Saturated Canary store. I have coloured her in Prisma pencils and have added stickles and glamour dust to her dress for a sparkly tulle effect skirt and have added liquid pearls in lemon around the image. I have machine stitched all my edges too.

I am entering this into...

A gem of a challenge reminder and SFTW a day late!

Hello friends! I am here with a card to remind you of the on going challenge over at A Gem of a challenge which is Animals. I should have posted my card last week but I was away and have only just managed to get this one done in time for the reminder! I am also using this as my DT card for SFTW a day late as our theme over there is Pearls and swirls, sponsored by the fab Pretty little ribbon shop.

I have used this oh so cute Chloe from Pink Gem designs for my card with her little doggy. My papers are MME, flowers, lace and seam binding from WOC, swirls from prima, sentiment from LOTV and fab butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner.

My sweet image has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have edged in victorian velvet DI using an SU flourish stamp around the edge.

Happy Halloween and a new release at Saturated Canary!

Happy Halloween!!!!! Yeah I guess I'm a bit early (first time for everything!) but there is a fab new release over at Saturated Canary with some cute Zombies, vampires and witches!

So I have made my first Halloween card in August!

I have used fab Pink Paislee papers, I have no idea why I have such lovely papers as you really can hardly ever see any of them! Honestly though they are really great papers!!! I have also used Jute and flowers from WOC, ribbon from a blogging pal, bat die cut which I have had for a looooooong time, butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner and my skull charm and metal corner I have given a paint and glitter effect to fit in with my spooky theme. My sentiment  is Watzingmouse held in by a Tim Holtz ticket holder.

I have coloured my image with the obligatory prisma pencils again and have used some Waltzingmouse bats around the edge. This cutie comes with a set of sentiments too! She should be in the Saturated Canary shop later on today!

I have added a tonne of stickles to my metal corner, skull charm, bat and card edge so I may not be abe to find many spooky challenges but will be hunting down the bling ones!

Divas by design Anything goes

Yes I'm back again! We have a new challenge over at Divas by design and it is one of my favourites ANYTHING GOES. We are so lucky to be sponsored by the stunning Tiddlyinks and have all been given such brilliant images to work with!

I chose one of the new fantasy releases I just adore these....

My beautiful Magda image has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have added a tonne of liquid pearls around her and then went a bit ink crazy with vintage photo distress ink.

Creative Inspirations focus on the sentiment

Hi friends!

Well I am still chasing my tail trying to get organised and to be honest I think it's a losing battle so I may just give up lol!

I am feeling a bit lack lustre in the mojo department too as I have been away from my crafting for a bit!

There is a brand new challenge over at Creative Inspirations and it's to focus on the sentiment, oh no totally out of my comfort zone here so not the best start to my crafting restart lol!

I did buy these yummy first edition Hideaway papers when away (well it would have been rude not to!) they are so full of spring and freshness and with a hint of sparkle too, love em! I used a new SU sentiment stamp with a bit of stickles sparkle, some fab flowers from WOC and Mulberry crafts, flourish from Memory box and stunning butterflies from Kays Kreative Korner (must get more of these they are sooooo gorgeous!)

This is for some friends of ours who have recently got engaged out in Canada, they will be back home soon and we are so very pleased for them both as they are such lovely people!

Back from Hols

Hi everyone!

I am back from our little jaunt to my mums for my sisters birthday get together.

I am hoping to do lots of catching up on blogs and comments this week but I do have a mountain of washing and ironing that I need to climb too!

I just thought I would share some photos of my time away..

A gem of a challenge

Hey folks! there is a new challenge over at A Gem of a challenge this week and it is ANIMALS. We want to see those friendly furries and critters on your cards!

I don't have anything to show you today, with me being away but the team have made some stunning creations for you to get some inspiration from so do pop across and see them!

Happy 40th to my big sister!

Well, it's not my sisters 40th until the end of this month but we are having a big surprise family get together today for her.

She is a big Twilight fan, like me! So I decided to make her a card based upon that theme as I know she would love it just like I would.

I apologise for my photos as I just can't seem to photograph easel cards well!

I have used a selection of papers from Echo park, Pink Paislee and DCWV Immortal love stack. I have printed off some yummy RPatz piccies (I know no colouring!) and have double matted and machine stitched it all.

My butterflies are from the fab Kays Kreative Korner, my flowers are WOC, the pin is from the lovely Tracey, my bottle is Tim Holtz filled with mini beads and my numbers are chipboard glittery things I have had for an age!

I am sure she will love it and I have scheduled this for after I have given it to her!
