Halloween Inspiration From Pink Gem designs

Hi everyone, I'm really late with my inspiration post today but to be honest I'm feeling a bit yuck! My throat is starting to hurt and swell I just hope I can ward this off as I simply don't have enough time to be ill! I'm going to be breaking out the effervescent vitamin C in a min!
Today I have a little Halloween Inspiration using some fab new digis over at Pink Gem Designs..
I have made a halloween treat tin just ready to put some yummies inside!
I have used papers from Echo Park Apothecary Emporium along with flowers from WOC some sentiment stamps from Waltzingmouse, a butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner and some spooky bits I found in my stash.
Both this gorgeous Mummy Josh image and the Trick or treat calendar ticket are available as digi download from Pink Gem designs. I have coloured Josh with prisma pencils, though he mostly only required some shading with him being majorly white. I also added some spiced marmalade DI to the outsides and some old paper crackle paint to my flowers and backing papers.
The lid of my tin has a Waltzingmouse sentiment on with my stunning butterfly  for vivid colour effect!
Do check out the inspiration blog for regular Pink Gem Inspiration from the team!
Thanks for coming by everyone!
Big hugs

A Gem of a challenge one for the girls

Morning! Oops bit late this morning. I was on a late shift last night and couldn't bring myself to schedule this post and then I got up late as my hubby let me have a lie in this morning (so rare!)
Anyway its reminder time for the challenge over at A Gem of a Challenge and it is a super easy one ONE FOR THE GIRLS, always a fave of mine and this time I went all festive...
I have used my fave black market paper society papers, just adore these pretty festive ones! My stunning flower vine and butterfly are from Karlas Kreative Korner (yes the lady does stunning flower sprays as well as butterflies!) I have added a couple of purple flowers to the spray and have added some gems to the butterfly too. I have also used Jute from WOC and a sentiment from Magnolia.
My sweet Chloe image is a new digi from Pink Gem Designs. She has been coloured with prisma pencils and is sat in a memory box frosty frame, love this (thanks Laurie for my birthday pressie!) I have used a tonne of worn lipstick DI and Picket fence crackle paint on everything too!
Do check out what the rest of my teamies have made and don't forget to join us for the chance at a fab Pink Gem prize!
I am entering this into Pennys paper crafty die cuts, Paper pretties flowers, Paper shelter distressing, delicious doodles flowers and Whimsy anything goes.
Thanks for coming by again!

Divas by Design and Creative Inspiration

Morning everyone! Yes I have been rubbish with my blogging again!
On the plus side, the man came out to fix the leak, well at least we think it is now fixed! We haven't had anymore major problems and we have had some rain so hopefully this is now sorted. We do have some decorating to do but we are having some help with that too once everything has dried out.
The insurance paid out on the TV (yay!), however because of the excess and depreciation we get less than £200, It's not ideal but it is better than us having to find all the money for a brand new TV so it should be on it's way to us today!
We also had to visit High schools yesterday eve. I've just packed one off to high school this year and now my next one is ready to go next year! I have also been up to my eyes in homework. It really is such a struggle trying to help with English presentations, history posters, french pronunciations, geography graphs and Decimal multiplications for high school along with times table practice and writing in specific genres for future SATs and then on top of that trying to help my youngest to read, learn basic maths and writing skills. Honestly sometimes I feel like I home school!
Phew! Enough with all that it is time to show a card. This was a commission but my favourite type, a female birthday card and no special requests leaving me free to roam my creativity!
I have combined my DT work for Creative Inspirations (a sketch this time) and Divas by Design which is to use texture..
I have used Pion papers along with cheesecloth and a doily. My lace and seam binding is Wild Orchids. My frame is kaiserkraft, ticket Tim Holtz, butterflies little snippets, sentiment is SU and my flowers are a combination of Wild Orchids and Kort & Godt.
My fabulous image is from the incredibly talented Rick St Dennis, she is such fun and a joy to colour. I have used prisma pencils and have edged in antique linen DI. I have also stamped some kaiserkraft postage marks in DI at the edge but these are very subtle. I have also machine stitched all the edges.
Over at CI this wk we have a stunning prize on offer donated by Nat and at Divas we are so lucky to be sponsored by the brilliant Joanna Sheen.
I would like to enter this into...
By the cute and girlie birthdays, Wild orchids anything goes and  Papertake weekly anything goes.
Thanks for coming by again, I will try and visit more of you this week!

Saturated Canary office supplies

Hello friends! Well thanks for all your well wishes yesterday about our disaster of a life situation right now! We are having someone out this evening to look at the ceiling leak and as for the tv well lets just say I am NOT a fan of insurance companies! The TV was broken on Tues eve which is when hubby called them, they then called back on weds but insisted on speaking to me as I was the first adult to discover the problem, despite the fact that I wasn't even in the house when any of it happened! I was at work yesterday so called them today and now have to wait for a phone call from a claims specialist on Monday to go through events AGAIN! I wouldn't mind but he asked me to explain the course of events from when the TV was last working.... Um it was working when I left the house and when I got back it wasn't what else am I supposed to say?! I know they have to be careful of fraudulant claimers but I pay my policies, I have accidental damage and I would just like my TV back now, they can send me the exact same TV as I like that one!
Enough of my complete moaning I know it will all be sorted in the end!
On to todays card for the new challenge over at Saturated Canary. We have been challenged this time to use OFFICE SUPPLIES, so break out your paper clips, staples, tape and notepads!
It's hubbys birthday on Sunday so I made this card for the kids to give him, it's not too girlie even though I couldn't resist to put flowers on it! I used these fab freebie papers from quick cards magazine as recently Krista sent me some gorgeous washi tape (see the blue cloud tape running under the image?) and I knew it would just go perfectly with these papers!
For my office supplies I used a bulldog clip which I painted orange, some staples on my image and the tape.
My flowers are WOC and my sentiment is SU.
My adorable image is Daddys girl from Saturated canary in rubber at little darlings. I have coloured her with prisma pencils.
I hope I can find some challenges for this later, I have to get the kiddies tea and expect a builder about a roof soon!
Edit challenge entries - fab and funky F word \(flowers), Craft your passion buttons and bows, Bearly mine add a sentiment and Party time tues anything goes.
Don't forget Krista has some new digis in the shop today and if you haven't already seen her post about the butterfly babies do click on my link with the picture at the top of my sidebar to help this special cause.
Thanks for coming by and do check out the rest of the teams creations!

Bingo at Creative Inspirations

Goodness me where is the time going?! I cannot believe how fast my days disappear and before I know it I have had no time to craft! I am slightly scared that xmas is creeping up on me waaaaaaaay to fast and I have really not made hardly any xmas cards!
I am also slightly fraught at the cost of such said seasonal event too! Especially as yesterday was just a major disaster day in our house! After 2 days of constant rain the roof decided to leak in Hiolette's room, this is down to a slow leak through the loft conversion. So we had to move the girls in together and are still waiting to have someone out to fix it but it does mean a full re decorate as much of the plaster and wallpaper is ruined and we have yet to establish if the carpet can be saved.
Then when I took the dog for a walk and hubby was upstairs, Hiolette decided to put the Wii remote through the TV completely ruining the LCD and taking all hope of a picture with it so now we need a new TV too and this one was not cheap! I have a feeling santa will be travelling light to our house this year!
Enough of my moaning and on to my card for today!
Over at Creative Inspirations we are sponsored by the brilliant Kenny K and we have a bingo challenge for you (I will let you hop across to check it out) but I have chosen to use blue, flowers and ribbon as my Bingo line....
I have chosen to use Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for my card with some lilac Jute from WOC, flowers from WOC and Kort and Godt (at Joanna Sheen), a Holtzy frame on a LOTV sentiment and a beautiful Butterfly from Kay'sKK. I have of course used crackle paint on everything and my scrabble tiles were a free download.
My image is of course from the fab Kenny K and has been coloured with prisma pencils.
Do check out what the rest of the teamies have done and don't forget there is another new challenge over at Divas by design today too (I hope I can join in later but am at work all day today!)

Challenge reminder at A Gem of A Challenge

Morning lovely people! Today I have a reminder of our current challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge, it is a recipe challenge of lemon, lilac, a bow and 2 butterflies. Well can anyone spot where I may have adapted the recipe a bit?!....
Yep there is definitely some lemon, lilac and a bow there but how many butterflies?! Well I'm not counting the 3 on the image so it is only 2 really! I have used papers from papermania with Jute and flowers from WOC, there are also some flowers from a local craft store and some stunning Kort and Godt flowers too. My fab butterflies are of course from the lovely Kays Kreative Korner and my sentiment is LOTV.
My sweet image is of course rainbow Chloe from Pink Gem Designs and I have coloured her with prisma pencils. All my edges have been inked with dusty concord and I have used silver stickles around the edges of all my mounted papers.
I am now watermarking all my images as well as the cards. I don't really like to do this but images are being stolen from blogs and Pinterest and being sold as clip art and pre coloured images so please be aware of this folks!
I am entering this into..
Fab and funky things with wings, Charisma things with wings, Stamp n doodle anything goes, Digi doodle shops best anything goes, Totally papercrafts for a child, Crafty Catz buttons and Simply create too anything goes.
I do hope you can join in with our recipe challenge if you haven't already!

Christmassy layers!!

Morning everyone! Well it is getting cold now, lots of rain for us yesterday means cold nights and the possibility of heating soon! So in complete opposite to my summery card of yesterday it's as cold as you ca get today!
Our challenge over at Creative Inspirations this week is Christmas in September and we are sponsored by the fab paper Shelter whose images we are using. I have also combined this with the new challenge over at Divas by Design which is Lovely layers (min of 4) and we are sponsored by the brilliant one stop craft shop.
I have used pretty Pion papers for my card in soft blue tones. My Rose binding and flowers are from Wild orchids, my lace is from Bunny Zoes, my chipboard snowflake is kaiserkraft and my sentiment is waltzingmouse with my snowflake charm from Pink gem designs.
My sweet snowman is a cute paper shelter image coloured in prisma pencils. I have used stickles to give his body some sparkle (like all magic snowmen should!) and I have used snowtex on the ground and snowdrops.
I am going to enter this into..
Live and love crafts lace and trim, LCI photo inspiration,  Stampavie and more glitter, Crafts and me roses and Whimsy anything goes.
Do check out what the rest of my teamies have made at both the challenge blogs and thanks so much for coming by my blog again!
