For a friend

Hi Everyone! I know I'm being sporadic with my blogging again! I have been at work a fair bit and then the kiddies are keeping me on my toes with being home for the holidays!
Then we also bought a new car, well new as in a new second hand one. We always seem to do this... shall we buy a dog? let's just go and look oops we bought one, now it's shall we buy a new car? (ours is old and I mean old like W reg) let's just see what's about oops we bought a car!
We have a W reg zafira (needed for our sized family) and it has always been superb we have had to spend little on it but we have had it for 5 years and I think hubby wants something a bit newer so we have bought a 54 reg Toyota Corolla Verso. I was a really mean hard faced nightmare for the salesman too lol! It took over 2 hours to get what we wanted on price and have some things sorted on the car and he brought it down to 4250 (it's low mileage) but I wouldn't pay over 4200 he was like "it's only £50" yep so you can drop that off the price then can't you! He wouldn't budge and hubby was gonna cave in but I dug my feet right in and said I'm happy to drive home in what we have it's a perfectly good car! He said he wished he could do more but that was the lowest he could go so I got up and went and got the kids! Shortly after he found hubby and said 4200 lol it's only £50 but it's my £50! Ha ha ha I think they probably swore about me after I left!
I do have a card to show you today and it's made with an image I have had coloured up for a week but just haven't got around to making the card up!
It's another one of those fab Mo's images and this is Two Tasha she is so much fun! I remember these days with my kiddies (still have them sometimes!)
I have used MME Miss Caroline papers again with an MS border punch, flowers from WOC, butterfly from E crafts and sentiment from Inkadinakdoo.
I have coloured Tasha with prisma pencils. I know with this style "afro" hair she should probably be darker skinned but she was screaming out fair skin and ginger hair to me!
I have inked all the edges in vintage photo and machine stitched.
I am entering this into...
Mo's challenge In the dog house (she certainly is or is putting someone there!), Crafty Catz all that glitters (my butterfly and flowers have sparkles), Secret crafter bright and cheerful, Totally gorjuss pearls and Whoopsidaisy lots of layers.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again, I am going to try harder to get by all of yours soon!
It is the last day for my CANDY today!
Hugs

Creative inspirations colour inspiration

Hello everyone! Well it is the first day of our school holidays today and I am working lol! Actually it is just because we are short staffed and lucky for me hubby is on nights so can look after the kiddies this afternoon whilst I help out at work.
We have a new challenge for you over at Creative Inspirations today and it is a colour one! Here is the photo/colours  for your inspiration..
I have to say I went slightly green at the thought of this! I am normally a 3 max colour person and thought I would find this one a hefty challenge!
We are super lucky to be sponsored by the wonderful Bunny Zoes for our prize this week.
It turns out that many of these colours are in MME Miss caroline Fiddlesticks pad so that is what I used for my card..
I also used Jute, seam binding and flowers from WOC, a large prima flower and prima butterfly, magnolia doo hickey swirls and stems and a LOTV sentiment.
My wonderful image is one of the winter fairies from Mos, I absolutely love Mo's images and this is no exception! Even though she is a more of a wintery fairy I made her a nature one here! She has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have used an SU flourish stamp in picket fence DI around the edges.
I have of course painted everything within an inch of it's life in crackle paint!
I would like to enter this into Mos challenge Hugs and kisses, love to create, spots and dots,Totally stampalicious texture, stamptacular to die for and The Emerald Faerie garden flourishes and swirls.
Thanks so much friends for coming by my blog again today, do check out what the rest of my teamies have made for this challenge!
Big hugs

Kraft at Christmas Pink Gems!!!

Yep I'm back again!!!
Hamster is still going ya know! He seems to be blind and really not well but he isn't giving in without a fight bless him, we just keep giving him cuddles as much as poss as he seems so cold :(
Edited Multi (thats his name) died this morning so it's funeral time before work, kids are handling it surprisingly well though.
We have a new challenge today over at A Gem of A Challenge again and this time our Jenny has given us the theme of Kraft at Christmas. I do love Kraft but the same can't be said for making xmas cards in July!
I get like this every year. I find it hard to get my festive mojo on in the summer (I have no idea how some of you do it all year round - hats off to you lot!)
So, despite my reservations about making another xmas card, I decided to run at full speed and tackle it like I would a regular card and hey presto....
I have used Tim Holtz shabby chic papers with kraft card stock and a mass of white crackle paint!
My lace, flowers and pearl sprays are WOC. My snowflakes were cut with Mariannes dies and my sentiment is Waltzingmouse
I have used one of the super cute new digis that Janet has in the Pink Gem Designs store. I have coloured them with prismas and added stickles to the snowflakes and Anitas glitter snow to the floor. I really should make these things more in advance too as all this paint, glitter and snow etc takes an age to dry!
I would like to enter this into Allsorts distressing, 2 sisters xmas in July and Jellypark challenges xmas in July.
Do check out the stunning creations from the rest of the team with the Kraft theme!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again folks!
Big hugs

Another Saturated Canary rubber stamp for Little darlings

Hi friends.
Our wee hamster is still trying, he barely moves and has laboured breathing but he is still holding on bless him, I hope he doesn't suffer for long.
Here I am showcasing another of the fab rubber stamps soon to be available at Little Darlings. This one is also a digi at Saturated Canary so you may have seen her before, she is such a great image and I love her, it's ice cream and pickles..
I had a tonne of fun making this one for the stand at CHA! I adore these MME papers and went a bit distress crazy with vintage photo ink and white crackle paint! My flowers are from a range at WOC with my lace from kaisercraft, chipboard corner from MIC, butterfly from little snippets and sentiment from Waltzingmouse. My banners were cut with a whimsy die and I have mounted and stitched like mad!
Here is a closer view of my darling image coloured with prismas. I have used at stempelglede flourish stamp around the edges and have cut with my nesties doily frame again.
Don't forget to keep checking out the DT for more sneak peeks of some stunning images now in Rubber!
I would like to enter this into DYSU food, Alphabet challenge l is for lace, Secret crafter food and drink, OSAAT anything goes, Bunny Zoes swirls and lace and sentimental sundays rough around the edges,

Anything but a card and another sneaky peek!

Morning everyone! Well the sun is shining right now so I am hoping that today will be nice and productive and give me a well needed boost! I have been so tired lately and don't think this miserable weather has been helping! Apologies for my lack of blog hopping right now my internet/phone line is playing up something rotten and the engineer should be here to fix it tomorrow (either that or break it all together!)
We are  nursing our poor old hamster too, he is pretty old for a hamster now and hasn't eaten for 3 days, he barely moves so I guess it's just a matter of time now for him. I guess it will be makeshift funerals by the end of the week and trying to find a spot that the dog won't dig in!
I have another sneaky peek today for the new Saturated Canary Stamps at Little Darlings currently being launched at CHA combined with my DT project for Creative Inspirations.
We are sponsored by the digi Garden this week and our theme is Altered art/Anything but a card.
I needed to decorate a notebook for Amelia for high school (I have bought a plain notebook and lever arch file with this intention!) so this is what I did...
I have used papers from my stash that I have had forever! They are Three bugs in a rug and the tags are from a sheet from the same company. My metal heart is Making memories, prima large flower, lasercut chipboard corner from MIC and butterfly from little snippets. I always struggle not to over embellish notebooks as they become less versatile then!
My wonderful image is "summer" by Saturated Canary at little Darlings and she has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have double matted everything and machine stitched as well as crackle painted all edges. I think she is just adorable!
Do check out the inspiration for this challenge from the rest of the CI team and don't forget to keep checking the SC DT for some more sneaky peeks of these wonderful stamps!
I would like to enter this into papertake weekly girlie, Paper pretties bling it on, Paper shelter anything goes and whoopsidaisy use up your stash.
Thanks for coming by again!
Big hugs

Morning all, long time no see! I know I've just been a dreadful blogger of late but I am so wrapped up in all the end of term activities and then I also have work. I do sometimes wonder how I find time to sleep!
Today I am showing you one of the gorgeous new Rubba stamps from Saturated Canary at Little Darlings! These stunners are being showcased at CHA right now! This cutie is Trimming the tree..
Another Christmas card from me! Have to say that I did feel a bit festive yesterday when one of my kiddies sat down to watch Santa Claus the movie (I know it is July but the weather makes me feel like it's winter lol!) and here I used MME papers with nesties tags die cuts, a Waltzingmouse sentiment and flowers from WOC with some snow tex added.
I have coloured my sweet image with prisma pencils and have machine stitched the edges. I have also added a LOTV xmas postmark stamp to the corner.
I will be showing you some more of the SC rubba images throughout this wk and some of the other SC DT girls are also showcasing some stunners too so do pop by and see what they have made!
I want to enter this into totally stampalicious xmas in July, Stampavie and more xmas in summer and totally papercrafts lots of layers.
