Marvelous Magnolia Wedding

Hello everyone! Happy Thursday! It's a bit dull here today and I really do have to finish taking down all my Xmas decorations but it isn't a job I enjoy so maybe I could rope the kids into helping me!
Today we have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and it's a special one as our lovely Teamie Laney got married on New yrs Eve, so we all made wedding cards and sent the to her for her special day, so our theme is "Weddings". I do not have a wedding Magnolia stamp (shock!) but I did have this fab new yr image perfect for celebrations!
I used Teresa Collins papers along with a large heart Doily, a butterfly from Prima, flowers from WOC and sentiment from LOTV. I found another fab excuse to use some pretty feathers and found this little metal "I do" tag in my stash.
This is new years Tilda and I have for the first time taken the plunge to do the no lines technique. I guess it doesn't show up so well with my prisma pencils than if I had coloured in inks or pens but I actually quite like the effect. I did find it quite difficult though with such light coloured lines and my terrible eyesight!
I Hope that Laney had a fabulous wedding day!
We are sponsored this time by Marker pop and Magnolia-licious so do join in with us!
I am entering this into..
Papertake weekly anything goes, Bearly mine something old and something new (old my tag, new my stamp), Partytime tues celebrate, Simon says stamp new something (new beginning for Laney!) and crafty creations anything goes.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog and come back later for my saturated Canary DT project!
Big hugs

A huge hello to 2013 and a new challenge!

Heeeellloooooo! Yes it is me back from the festive absence and with a working laptop phew!
Hubby managed to get it all sorted for me and hopefully I haven't lost too much in the process. However we are moving ISP soon so I will have to do lots of re communicating with a new e mail address, that will be fun NOT!
I hope you all have fab new years resolutions planned (or have you broken them already!) and are looking forward to a brand new year in 2013. I am going to continue trying to diet and be marginally fitter which all fell by the wayside during December of course! And I am reassessing my organisation and priorities. I got a bit fuddled towards the end of last year and didn't seem to get anything done so I am making some changes!
One of those changes is to leave my DT at creative Inspirations. I have loved being part of the team but I cannot commit to a weekly DT like this anymore with so much other DT work and running 2 DT blogs myself so this is my last challenge with them.
We are sponsored by Stamp fairy and our challenge is Celebration.
I have used Teresa Collins papers for my card along with flowers from WOC, butterfly from Prima, a Tim Holtz ticket and a LOTV sentiment tag.
My sweet stamp fairy Mimi image has been coloured with Prisma pencils, she is pretty adorable!
I need to get back into entering challenges too, so this can be entered into..
By the cute and girlie Cute and girlie, Bunny Zoes celebration and wild orchid anything goes.
Do check out what the rest of the team have made this week with these cute images and why not join in?!
Thanks for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs

Stampin for the weekend anything goes

Happy friday to you all! Yes this looks like another normal post from me!!! Don't kid yourself lol! This card was made last week for my wonderful friend who just recently had a beautiful baby boy, she already has 2 girls so has a family just like mine now. I had already photographed this card and put the pictures on my blog before the laptop broke so all I have to add is my waffle phew!
This is for our ANYTHING GOES  challenge over at Stampin for the weekend to finish off our challenges of 2012.
I have used stunning Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for my card with a lovely heart shaped doily, some lace and flowers from wild orchids, butterfly from little snippets and the rest is bits from my stash.
My beautiful butterfly baby image from Saturated Canary has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have used an SU flourish stamp in stormy sky DI around the outside. I love the fact this baby can be used for either boy or girl cards without any problem. This is Krista's charity image so if you haven't already had a chance to grab it please do!
Do check out what the rest of my teamies have made for this too!
And also a BIG HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my eldest today. Amelia is 12 (wow where did that time go?!) so we are having chinese and cake late (bye bye diet)
Thanks for coming by everyone massive hugs

Saturated Canary a little photo inspiration

Happy thursday to you!
I  know,I'm sorry the laptop is still out of action and I am still up to my eyes in xmas preparations and birthday preparations! We are expecting my mum today too and then have a carol service at the high school tonight! I am working with what little technology I have so bare with me!
But for the last challenge of the year at Saturated Canary it's my choice and I chose a photo for inspiration here..
And here is what I made..
I have used some Tilda papers and some papers from stash with a stack of glittery bling today!
My flowers and lace are wild orchids and my butterfly is little snippets with my sentiment coming from LOTV.
My darling image is whispy, she is one of the older canaries and still a fave of mine. Unfortunately some of my newer SC images are still stuck on the  evil laptop and I fear I may have lost them forever :( I don't back up everything as often as I should but my external harddrive still has lots on board! I have coloured whispy with prismas and added stickles to her wings and liquid pearls on her skirt.
Do check out what the rest of the team have made for this challenge with their stunningly talented creations!
Thanks for sticking by me through my technical issues! I hope 2013 brings me better luck with technology!
Massive hugs

A poorly laptop and a sorry!

Hi everyone!
I'm sorry I have not been about. Although things are always busy at this time of year it has all taken a major down turn lately as my laptop has gone and got really sick!
I have no idea what is up with it and sinply can't afford to get it fixed. Hubby has been doing all sorts to get it sorted but as yet to no avail!
I am quite horrified at how much I rely on my sweet lappy and how sad I am that it has almost died on me!
I access my e mail through my Iphone but it isn't so good for blogging so I apologise for my lack of anything lately!
I can't even access my digi images or photo programmes so things are just not working well for me on the crafty front!
There is a new challenge tomorrow (weds) at both creative Inspirations and Divas by Design both are simply ANYTHING GOES but unfortunately I have nothing to show this time because of all my technical issues!
I am just massively thankful that Santa may just have something for my eldest daughter which I will be able to sneak the use of in the new year until I get my laptop back to a use able state again!
So my apologies for my absence friends, I can get some sporadic use of a pc occasionally and will do my best to post when I can!
Hugs everyone!

Marvelous Magnolia Anything but a card

Happy Thursday everyone!
It's pretty cold here, no sign of snow yet but plenty of heavy frost. I wonder if we will have a white xmas?!
Anyway I have a little treat for you today! We have a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia and it is to make anything but a card. I normally go for a tag or box but I have been wanting to do a sweet tree for xmas (another one of those PInterest inspired things!)
So here it is..
I have used Lindt cookies and cream chocolates for my tree, I was going to do the standard red ones but these caught my eye mmm! They are stuck to a ball of oasis. The stick is a bamboo cane covered in ribbon and the metal bucket is just a standard galvanised one primed with gesso and painted. I have added blue ribbon to the base and white lace to the top.
Here is a close up of the chocolate tree top. It will be center piece to our xmas table for after the main meal!
Of course, though, this is a Magnolia event so I had to use some cute maggies to pretty it up..
This cutie has been coloured with prisma pencils and she has stickle sparkles and glamour dust on her wings, wand and halo but i'm afraid the poor light here doesn't really show that off to full effect!
This is one of my newest cuties! She is also coloured with prisma pencils. She has stickles on her stars and I have used chalk to create the background. I have also added some liquid pearls to her frame.
Now I think about it I should have probably added some butterflies around the bucket but thats an after thought for you!
Anyway do check out what the rest of the team have made as there are some stunners over there! You could also win a fab prize from Magnolia-licious or The ribbon girl if you join us this time!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs

Creative Inspirations Contemporary Xmas colours

Morning everyone!
Yes I am here honest! No sooner had I got hubby back to work that I had sick kiddies! I do slightly despair with doctors sometimes though. Hubby took Caleb to the out of hours service whilst I was at work on sunday only to be told that he had a cold and allergies and that we just needed to give him his inhaler more frequently. When I came home in the afternoon he was raging hot (39.3) he refused to eat or have lights on as it hurt his eyes and he just slept as much as possible! Allergies I think not! Monday he was sick a few times and his temp was still high but by Tues eve he managed to find his appetite and as started to get better (phew!) but so much for the doctors diagnosis!
Anyway that's a little about our family stresses and one of my reasons for such pityful blogging and crafting!
I have made a card for todays challenge over at Creative Inspirations, I do feel a bit of a lack of mojo though so need to hunt under some papers and stamps to find it! Our challenge is to use contemporary Xmas colours so no traditional reds or greens here.
We are sponsored by Stamp fairy who provided the DT with images to use..
I have used papers from a kaisercraft pack that I got free with an issue of simply cards and papercrafts. My flowers and jute are from WOC, my butterfly little snippets and my sentiment LOTV.
My image from Stamp fairy has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have added some stickles for the sparkly snow.
And I also had a lovely surprise over the weekend when the lovely Sarah e mailed me to say she thought she had seen my cards on Create & Craft TV! So I watched the segment on Little darlings stamps and what did I see?!!!!
Yes this was me taking a photo of the TV!!! My cards are the pink one on the bottom left and the bottom right one with the banners, these were my Saturated canary CHA samples which I have blogged before so you may recognize them! Ooo look at me all famous on the TV lol!
Thanks for sticking by me during this sporadic time of blogging! I do hope to find some time to get by some of your blogs to see your lovely creations soon!
Big hugs

New challenge at Saturated Canary

Hi Everyone! Yes it's a bit like watching tumbleweed blowing in the wind over here isn't it?! I just finished all my hours at work and then got struck down with a nasty lurgy, typical! I guess it was better to be ill now rather too close to Xmas but then I could have done without getting ill at all!
I am much better now though, phew!
We have a new challenge for you over at Saturated Canary again and this time it is the theme of "hot chocolate and marshmallows" so interpret that how you like! Here is my card...
I have used dovecraft papers (piece of cake) which I have had for ages but just suited the colour scheme I wanted to use. My photo isn't fab due to the constant cloud cover and darkness these delightful winter months are bringing us, maybe one day I will get a daylight lamp!
I have also used a memory box snowflake wreath die, a mariannes tree die, flowers and rose trim from WOC with a sentiment from watzingmouse.
This is Winter Cocoa one of the recently released SC rubba stamps available at Little darlings and I have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have also used a magnolia snowflake stamp around the edge of my image.
I am also combining this with the new challenge over at Divas by Design which started yesterday and is "let it snow" so do check out what my teamies have made for that one.
Do also pop by the SC challenge blog and see the stunners that my SC teamies have made for this theme!
Thanks so much for popping by my blog!
Big hugs

Challenge reminder at A gem of a challenge

Hello again friends!
Well its the weekend and I hope everyone has some good plans! For me I have another weekend at work but I am also having dinner with friends this evening. We have made it a xmas tradition where 5 of us get together and have a good old chat and xmas drink with a little pressie exchange and some nibbles but this year we are going for the full dinner, one of us is doing starter, one main, one side dish, one dessert and one drinks. I got the dessert mmmm! I have made gingerbread cupcakes but have also got a roulade to take for good measure!
Over at A Gem of a challenge we are still having our 2 wk challenge and this is my reminder post. Our challenge is paper piecing and here is my card..
I'm not so sure about this, my mojo seems to be taking a little back seat as I have been working so much with not so much crafting time. I'm sure I will get things to resume back to normal soon!
I have used basic grey papers with a mass of flowers and crown pins from Wild orchids. My butterfly is Kays Kreative Korner and my image, sentiment ticket and snowflake charm are all Pink Gem Designs.
I have coloured my angel Chloe with prisma pencils, although I have paper pieced both her dress and the kitty's dress and added some stickles sparkle to her wings. I have also used and SU flourish stamp in worn lipstick DI around the edge.
Do check out what the rest of the team have made over at the challenge blog, there is soooooo much inspiration!
Also Janet has put a tonne of festive digis and fabulous sentiments in the store right now so do go and check them out they are superb!
Thanks tonnes for coming by my blog!
Big hugs

Marvelous Magnolia Monochromatic

Happy Thursday friends!
I am back for another challenge over at Marvelous Magnolia and it's one of my faves!!!
I do love a Monochrome challenge and I have chose to get all monochromatic with Pink today.
This card was actually a commission I made last wk with another i have already blogged. This Tilda was requested and I am so thrilled she was as I love her!!!
Isn't she just the cutest?! I used papers from Teresa Collins and Echo park for my card. I used my MS Hydrangea border punch (love this!) and a multitude of flowers from WOC and kort & Godt. The sugar and spice sticker is one I have had for a while along with my glittery number and my computer generated sentiment for personalisation.
I coloured my sweet Tilda with prisma pencils and machine stitched all my edges. I also used a little worn lipstick DI to the edges.
I loved making this pretty in pink creation!
Do check out what the rest of the team have made for this and why not jump in and try for a prize from..
and
I would also like to enter this into..
Tuesday throwndown lots of layers, Party time tuesdays anything goes, Top tip tues kids and teens, Simon says stamp anything goes, sweet stampin flowers, allsorts bring on the bling and Paper pretties girlie cards
