Divas by Design Anything goes

Hello friends, It's challenge time again at Divas by Design and it's everyone's favourite challenge of ANYTHING GOES.
I am sure we  will still have lots of spooky style creations with it being so close to Halloween or maybe the festive ones will be creeping in for the holidays now?
Anyway, I'll buck the trend completely by doing a wedding card!!
This is actually a commission I made a while ago for an Autumnal Wedding.
I have used MME papers here and had to mix up my own orange acrylic paint for the edges as I didn't have that colour! I have used gorgeous butterflies from Kays kreative korner, flowers from WOC and wooden heart and metal heart both from LLC.
My fabulouso image is of course from Tiddlyinks, I just adore this couple and I have coloured them with prisma pencils. I have edged in vintage photo ink and used a SU foliage stamp around the edge.
I can't wait to see what you all create for this Anything goes challenge!
Thanks for coming by everyone
Much love

A New Challenge at A Creative Romance

Tip toe <<<<< creeps in quietly, hopefully unnoticed!
I know, I know, I just haven't been about have I?
It is shocking but to be honest I haven't found much desire or time to craft lately and I am really hoping this will change.
I have left a fair few of my DTs now so that I don't really have the pressure to create and also not working as much as I did over the summer so maybe that will help too!
I worked lots as hubby had 6 weeks off due to an operation on his arm so one of us had to bring in the money! But now it's my turn to be off, this is my second week due to an op on both my legs which has been painful to say the least!
So here I am with a DT card (wonders will never cease!) for A creative Romance (these gals have been so patient with me as well as those fab folks at Saturated Canary)
Our theme this time is IN THE GARDEN
and here is my card....
I was commissioned to make another wedding card and I have been looking for an excuse to use this adorable Wee stamps image for ages (this is Beau and bashful) aren't they adorable? The light wasn't good when I took my photos so the white balance has made this look a lot pinker than it is ha!
I have used Tilda papers, prima butterflies, flowers from WOC, LLC and prima and my sentiment is LOTV
I've coloured my image with prisma pencils and edged in victorian velvet DI using a stempelglede stamp around the edges.
I would like to think I have interpreted the garden theme with flowers (not that you would really find any unicorns in your garden...unless you were lucky!)
Thanks for coming by to see my card and showing me a little love especially with my lack of contribution to blog land right now!
Big hugs to all

Divas by Design Pretty Pearls

Hello folks just me here with a wedding card commission that also fits the new challenge over at Divas by Design. Our theme for this week is pretty pearls...
I used mostly Tim holtz shabby chic papers for this mildly vintage styled card. I also used some lace and flowers from WOC and a doily from my stash.
I coloured up this stunning Tiddlyinks image with prisma pencils, always a favourite for couple cards. I used some shabby blue frantage around the outside and a blue rub on at the side. My stunning white and silver butterflies are from Kay's kreative korner.
I used the joy crafts butterfly edge die and butterfly singular die to create the effect at the edge of the card. My pearls are in strings within the flowers and also self adhesive on the die cuts. I personalised with computer printed details. Thanks for coming by my blog everyone I know I'm not about much at the moment so thanks for sticking by me! I hope you can join us at the challenge this week!
Big hugs

Thank you teacher with Saturated canary

Hello everyone! Today I am here with another one of my Candy/chocolate bar wrappers which I have made s a thank you for teachers. Although one of my kiddies finished school last week, the other 2 finish today so I had a little more time to make more teacher gifts!
Alongside the wrapper is a matching tag with homemade lemon meringue fudge!
I have used gorgeous winter Tilda papers for this. They are in stunning colours of teal, pink and red, such a pretty combination, which I have teamed up with flowers from WOC and a gorgeous butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner.
My beautiful image is Reader from Saturated Canary, she has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have used Stampin up stamps for the foliage around the image and the sentiment.
Here is the inside of the wrapper, I have made a criss cross design to be tied by ribbon with a simple inside and an area to write a message.
Here is a close up of the tag using the same image and SU stamps and a little sneaky peek of that fudge! This is such a super easy recipe to follow you can find it on my pInterest page if you fancy giving it a go!!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again! Don't forget there is still time to join in with our anything goes challenge on the Saturated canary facebook page.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again friends!
Big hugs

Saturated Canary Facebook challenge - Anything goes

Hi everyone, I'm a bit late today due to working but I have one of 3 makes that I am doing for teacher gifts for my 3 kiddies now we are nearing the end of term. This is for the new anything goes Facebook challenge on the saturated canary Facebook page.
I got this idea from Pinterest (of course!) it's a card/chocolate bar wrapper as I thought it would be nice to buy a special bar of chocolate & decorate it but then why not make it into a card as well?!
I have used tilda papers with kraft card stock, jute from stash, butterflies from Kay's and flowers from wild orchids.
My beautiful image is the Haiti fundraiser image that Krista made, she came either holding a map or clear like this so you could stamp your own sentiment as I did with a LOTV stamp. I have coloured her with prisma pencils and added a stempelglede flourish stamp around the edge in Victorian velvet ink.
Here you can see the inside of my card where I have made a little blank piece for the kids to write their own message to their teacher and have also made a little pocket to house the yummy special chocolate I bought (which I am so tempted to eat myself!) the card ties with the ribbon I have secured to the sides.
Thanks for coming by and checking out my make & we do hope you can join us at the Facebook challenge with your saturated canary makes!
Big hugs
Rebekah xx

An Alternative Beauty

Ooo look at me twice in one week, don't all fall off your chairs in shock now!!
I have created a card using one of the fab new images from Saturated Canary using this awesome new image called Alternative beauty..
Now, I wonder why I like her so much?! She is soooo up my street with her funky style and I'm sure there are plenty of young girls that would just love a card with a funky image like this on! This is for a friend of mine who turns 24 soon and I know she is just gonna love her!
I have used fancy pants papers here, love the funky colours. Along with black feathers from my stash for a bit of drama! Flowers are from WOC and beautiful butterflies are from Kays. I have used black acrylic paint around all my papers for a distressed look and have used pink paint on the edges of my butterflies too. My sentiment is papertrey ink.
My image has been coloured with prisma pencils, still having some printer issues so I can't get the colouring ad defined as I would like but I guess I will get there with the ink bleed thing soon enough! I have edged again in black paint and added adornits letters for personalisation.
There are so many awesome new releases lately that you just have to check them out and I really should create with more of them!!!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog everybody, loves ya all!!!
Big hugs

A favourite stamp

Hello everyone, yes I'm back for another brief encounter!
Things just seem to be tough to fit into my day right now and my crafting is just not happening as much as it used to. I am still here I promise! I'm just not creating anywhere near as much as I used to, I do hope I can find time to do more soon!
I have a card today which is for both the new challenge at Divas by design (your favourite stamp -anything by Saturated canary is a favourite of mine!) and a midway challenge reminder for the Saturated Canary Facebook challenge which is to create something using this awesome "Miss Personality" stamp.
I have used lots of pretty spring/ summer colours for this card. I can't even remember where my papers were from (soory) I think they were more than likely MME. My flowers are a mixture but mostly from Wild orchids and my butterflies are prima. My sentiment is LOTV.
My uber cute image has been coloured with prisma pencils. I think she looks a bit dirty as my printer ink kept bleeding when I was trying to colour :( I ended up using a blender pencil as it bled less that the mineral I used. I'm not sure if it is the card stock or the printer but it didn't make for easy colouring! I used a SU paint splodge stamp around the image too.
Do join in with  us for both of these awesome challenges for a chance at fab prizes!
Thanks for coming by again everyone.
Big hugs

Happy 1st birthday to A Creative Romance!!!

So here is my card... Well I wouldn't say my mojo is well and truly on form yet but for a first creation in a while it's definitely not my worst! I have used MME papers along with Jute and flowers from WOC and butterflies from Kays. My sentiment is Stempelglede like the stamps used around my image.
My image is of course the stunning Denise from saturated Canary coloured with prisma pencils

A Lil Ladybug birthday

Long time no see?!! I know I've been a terrible blogger and crafter, to be honest I am moving in so many other circles right now that crafting is just taking a back seat. Of course I haven't given it up but just making less right now.
I do have a little saturated canary inspiration for you today with a commissioned card I have made. This IS very similar to a card I have made before as the commission was based on that card, colours and everything.
I have used beautiful echo park papers for this with such a striking colour combination. I have also used a mixture of flowers some of which are from WOC. My butterflies are from Kays with much of the rest coming from my stash.
My gorgeous Lil ladybug stamp is exclusive rubber and she has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have also added some stickles sparkle to her dress although you can't really see that in this picture.
I have added computer generated personalisation for the customer.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog even though I haven't been by it myself in a while!
Big hugs

Saturated canary Inspiration

Hidey ho folks! I'm here today with a little saturated Canary Inspiration and a commissioned goodbye card..
I used Teresa Collins papers in lemon and pink with some chocolate card stock for contrast. My butterfly border is a joy crafts die and my pretty flowers are a mixture of Wild orchids and Prima. My beautiful butterflies are of course from Kays kreative korner and my sentiment is waltzing mouse.
My sweet sorrowful image is one of the Saturated Canary images in Rubber only "there's always tomorrow" available at Little darlings and other outlets. I have coloured her in prisma pencils and added a little stempelglede flourish in vintage photo distress ink around the edge.
Don't forget to pop over to the Saturated Canary inspiration blog regularly for some stunning inspiration and keep up to date with the challenges on the facebook page!!!
Thanks for coming by my blog again everyone!
