Polkadoodles new Halloween download

Hi everyone today I have some spooky treat bags I have made using the fab new download kit available at the polkadoodles store..
My treat bags started out like this. An instant VIA coffee pack from starbucks!
And after the spooky treatment look like this..
For my first treat box I used fab papers from the download with this fab pumpkin digi which I coloured with prisma pencils. My BOO bunting is also a digi stamp which I coloured and hand cut. I cut flowers with a Mariannes rolled rose die from the matching papers and also added a sentiment from the kit
My second treat box also uses papers from the digi kit in these fab stripes! I have used this excellent witch digi stamp and have coloured her with prisma pencils too. again I used the same rolled rose die to cut flowers from the matching papers. I covered everything with picket fence distress paint and also used a Waltzingmouse nibbles stamp on this box.
Here are the boxes from the back..
Do check out these fab items in store in preparation for Halloween!!

Polkadoodles Fairy Time

Yes it's me again!
And look at this I have some super new news!!!
I am now a fully fledged DT member at Polkadoodles!! Yay go me!
I joined this fab facebook page Creative Showcase where you upload a selection of your work to show yourself off and you get to learn about new DT calls etc and from there the wonderful Nikky Hall approached me and asked me to be part of her team so here I am!!!
The new challenge over at the challenge blog is fairy time (angels count too!) But the twist is you have to use an Angelberry digi stamp, however Nikky will give you one FREE to use for the challenge so head on over to the challenge blog for details on how to e mail for your free digi to enter into the challenge! You have until Sept 5th to get your e mail in for your stunning free digi!
This is my make of a pocket bookmark card. I have used so many elements from The Bonbon Belles CD in the chocolate lime collection. All of the papers are from this collection, as is my cute layered ladybird, butterfly and paper flowers nestled in there amongst my other flowers from WOC.
Here you can see the bookmark removed from it's pocket in front of the card. I have used a selection of beads and glass charms to finish it.
The fairy on my pocket is one of many from the CD that you can print with or without wings. I have coloured her with prisma pencils and added a stempelglede stamp to the edge for softening. I have stitched round 3 sides of the pocket leaving the top open to pop in my bookmark.
The fairy on my bookmark (another from the same CD) has been printed out super small, this is the neat thing about digis and how you can adjust to what ever you need. Of course, if you don't have the patience to colour in these tiny digis you can always print out a pre coloured digi from the CD instead! the sentiments stamp is from Polkadoodles sensational sentiments rubber collection and the butterfly has been printed twice (pre coloured) from the CD and layered.
Do check out the fabulous creations from the rest of the team for this, you could win £50 worth of Polkadoodle goodies if you enter! And I will have some brand new polkadoodles spooky stuff to show you really soon!
Thanks for coming by my blog!

Saturated Canary - Colouring Technique

Hellooooo! Goodness me I just seem to be run off my feet right now! It i always so busy just before the kiddies go back to school as there is that mad rush making sure you have all the correct uniform, PE kits, stationary, trainers, shoes etc. And to top that we have a wedding/baby celebration this weekend (which I am also making cupcakes for) and a family wedding next weekend! Phew I will be glad when things settle down - who am I kidding it will be Christmas before I know it!!
However, today is my sisters birthday (happy birthday Sarah) and this is the card that I have sent to her for the challenge this time at Saturated Canary which is colouring technique.
We want you to choose a different colouring technique like the no lines technique (that I have used) or dotted background to create shadows etc I have used the no lines technique with rubber stamps before but never with digis and I enjoyed this especially with this stunning new fairy from Krista!
I have used papers from Teresa Collins, flowers from WOC, butterflies from little snippets and a sentiment from SU.
This is the gorgeous sweater socks which I have coloured with prisma pencils. The tricky thing is you have to be a bit more accurate with less room for mistakes when you colour with no lines, I love the effect though! I have also used a stempelglede stamp around the edge of the image.
The rest of the team have created some stunning work this week so do go and check them out, we can't wait to see what you create this time!
Thanks for coming by my blog

C2CU summer days/Beach colours

Howdy ho everyone!
Well it's not really feeling like summer as much as I would like it to now but then I guess we can't complain after all the lovely sun we have had!
It's still our month long challenge over at Crafts too challenge you with our theme of Summer fun and our 2nd twist of Beach colours and ooooo what's that? I have made yet another mini notebook!!!
Gotta love these cute mini notebooks for gifts! I have used these gorgeous vibrant papers from my crafts too pack representing the ocean colours. I have also used flowers from WOC and my fab butterfly is from Little snippets. The sentiment is part of a set including die cut from Mariannes available at Crafts too.
My sweet image is by Sureya on DeviantArt. If you have not discovered this amazing artist yet please go check out the images, they are just awesome! The images are all free for you to grab, the only catch being they are for personal use so no selling on of any handmade goods with them, hence I am giving this one away! I have coloured this one with prisma pencils.
Here is a side view of my notebook, which should be winging it's way to it's new owner soon!
Do check out what the rest of the team have done for this twist and we hope you can join us in the challenge!
Thanks for popping by!

Masking at A Creative Romance

Hello everyone!
Well, I'm afraid I am super late with this post today. Having had my mum to stay all of last week and doing lots of things as a family, my crafty time took a back seat.
On Friday a new challenge started over at A Creative Romance and it was the fab challenge of Masking.
For those of you who don't know, making is where 2 images are merged together or an image is layered on to a background by being masked and then stamped over the top.
Here is my card..
I have used stunning Websters pages papers for this card, I just love the pink and peach combo and have made a sweet baby card. My flowers are mostly WOC and Kort & Godt, My wooden tag and pearl flourishes are prima and my sentiment is papertrey ink.
I have used this adorable Tilda and have masked her onto another magnolia stamp, this cute sugar sack. I have coloured them both with prisma pencils and have added some glamour dust to her wings.
Do check out the stunning examples from the rest of the team and of course we hope you can join us for this great challenge!
Thanks for coming by my blog friends

C2CU Summer Days - Beach colours and SFTW Butterflies

Hello to all my lovely blogging pals!
It's the end of the week again and the end of my week off from work :( but I've had lots of fun this week with the family so it's all good!
Today I have a combined project for Crafts too challenge you, which is staying with our monthly theme of Summer days but we have now changed our twist to beach colours. And also Stampin for the weekend have the new challenge of Butterflies and we are sponsored by the fabulous Saturated Canary.
I have created an altered notebook and pen pot set for this. I have used the beach colours of sea blue and sand yellow and added prima butterflies to both my creations. This is another one of my Pay it forward makes. I started the beginning of the year popping a pay it forward post on facebook as I popped my name under a couple of other PIFs. I have been lucky enough to already receive one of my handmade goodies and so am starting to create for mine! I hope this one was well received!
My pen pot is an old can, cleaned and painted with gesso. I have used Tim Holtz shabby chic papers, some lace and flowers from WOC and a prima butterfly, there is also a tiny starfish charm on there that you can't see too well in this picture.
My altered notebook has papers from my crafts too pack, along with flowers from WOC, butterfly from prima, and joy crafts sunglasses die (from crafts too). I have used this cute splish plash sentiment also from my crafts too pack.
and here is my stunning mermaid from Saturated Canary that I have coloured with prisma pencils and have added some liquid pearls in blue to her hair.
I do hope you will check out what my teamies have made for these 2 fab challenges and that you will also join in for the chance at some great prizes!

Saturated Canary winged things

Happy Thursday folks!
Well I had a fabulous day out in London yesterday with hubby. It's been a long time since the 2 of us spent anytime on our own in London, in fact about 13 years ago when we lived there and before our first child was born!
It's new challenge time again at Saturated Canary and I am the one who chose this theme and it's "winged things". Of course you would have thought I would have gone down the butterfly route for this, actually I thought I would be using butterflies for this too but nope! I have created an altered notebook with a bird theme for winged things.
This is a Pay it forward make for one of my crafty friends. I am doing 6 randomly at some point this year and this is my first to be sent off, a cute little handmade item just from me!
I have used Pion papers for my notebook with flowers from WOC and Kort & Godt there is even a little purple bird nesting in amongst those flowers!
This is one of Krista's new digis Egg-stra special. I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have stamped around the edge with a stempelglede stamp in dusty concord ink.
Do check out what the rest of the team have made for this wonderful challenge, there is always stunning work to look at over there!
Thanks for coming by my blog friends!

Christmas in August and Shaped cards

Hi folks! I really must apologise for my prolonged absence again! It's been a busy time here with the kiddies off school and we have had some lovely family days. This week in particular is busy as my mum has come to visit and today hubby and I are off to London to catch a show and some well earned time together whilst nanny has the kids (good luck to her!)
I have combined my work today for Midweek Magnolias (shaped cards) and Divas by Design (Christmas in August)
I have made a circular card and used some MME papers, a nesties tag die. Mariannes foliage dies, flowers and wooden reindeer from WOC and sentiment from LOTV.
I have used this older Tilda with xmas tree image, I think she is adorable and have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have used LOTV xmas postage stamps around the edge along with shabby green frantage.
There are fabulous samples on the challenge blogs from all my teamies and some amazing prizes to be won so please do join us!
Thanks for coming by my blog again friends!

Summer days fun in the sun #2 at Crafts too challenge you

Hi everyone! I'm still sporadic on here at the moment. I'm afraid it's simply just DT work for me right now as there is no time to craft for just plain craftings sake in my house with the kiddies about! We have had some good fun already this week with running around maize mazes, discovering massive hay daleks and an evening at an open air cinema! We have some more fun planned next week too as my mum is up to visit.
But here is my project for the 2nd part of the summer days (fun in the sun) challenge over at C2CU.
I have used wonderful pastel papers from my crafts too pack with some jute and flowers from WOC. My button and sentiments are also from my crafts too pack and I have used these super cute dies from Joy crafts (available at Crafts too) in the shape of sunglasses and cute ice cream. I have highlighted the embossed features of these with crackle paint.
The image I have used is Saturated Canary (toes in the sand) and I have coloured her with prisma pencils.
I do hope you will pop across and join us for this challenge. The prize contains some of the fab things I have used on my card! Also check out what the rest of the team have made this time!
Thanks for coming by everyone!

Last BW2 and A Saturated Canary challenge

Hello friends, hope your week is going well! I have combined my DT work today for my last challenge at Black with 2 and the new challenge at Saturated Canary. I have finished my 6 month term now at BW2 and have loved the challenge that this gave me. I am definitely not opposed to using black now and actually find it really makes my colours pop so will continue using it! Thanks to Eve and the girls for having me over there and for making me think outside the box a bit more!
Our August colour palate over there is predominant black with orange and teal
and our theme at saturated Canary is an Anything goes one (love those!) Here is my card..
I have used gorgeous Teresa Collins papers, love this pack with a memrory box scroll die, flowers mostly from WOC. My butterfly is Kays and my sentiment is Papertrey ink.
This is the beautiful Cherry blossom stamp available only in rubber from Little Darlings. I have coloured her with prisma pencils.
Do check out what my teamies have made from both teams for these fabulous challenges!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs
