Back from Hols

Hi everyone!

I am back from our little jaunt to my mums for my sisters birthday get together.

I am hoping to do lots of catching up on blogs and comments this week but I do have a mountain of washing and ironing that I need to climb too!

I just thought I would share some photos of my time away..

A gem of a challenge

Hey folks! there is a new challenge over at A Gem of a challenge this week and it is ANIMALS. We want to see those friendly furries and critters on your cards!

I don't have anything to show you today, with me being away but the team have made some stunning creations for you to get some inspiration from so do pop across and see them!

Happy 40th to my big sister!

Well, it's not my sisters 40th until the end of this month but we are having a big surprise family get together today for her.

She is a big Twilight fan, like me! So I decided to make her a card based upon that theme as I know she would love it just like I would.

I apologise for my photos as I just can't seem to photograph easel cards well!

I have used a selection of papers from Echo park, Pink Paislee and DCWV Immortal love stack. I have printed off some yummy RPatz piccies (I know no colouring!) and have double matted and machine stitched it all.

My butterflies are from the fab Kays Kreative Korner, my flowers are WOC, the pin is from the lovely Tracey, my bottle is Tim Holtz filled with mini beads and my numbers are chipboard glittery things I have had for an age!

I am sure she will love it and I have scheduled this for after I have given it to her!

Saturated canary photo inspiration

Creative Inspirations Case it time! And Divas sketch

Morning all!

Sorry if I'm absent from commenting on your blogs much at the moment! I'm away this week so all my posts are scheduled, what few of them there are!

Over at Creative Inspirations this week we have another CASE it for you and our lovely DT Mona has given us a fab card to CASE. We are sponsored by J&C creations too! We also have a fab sketch at Divas by Design which is remarkably similar to the LO of the case card! We are sponsored over there by the fab Nitiwits digital papers.

I have used Teresa Collins papers for this card, such pretty sugaryness I just love them!

I have also used Jute and seam binding from WOC with a mass of pretty flowers from WOC and Mulberry crafts. My butterfly is from little snippets and my sentiment is LOTV.

My sweet image is the uber cute Party Hardy from Saturated Canary and I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have used an SU flourish stamp around the edge and have machine stitched on double matting.

This is one of the cards I have made for my sisters birthday (hopefully she isn't reading this!) she is a big cupcake maker so this image is just perfect for her! This isn't the card I am giving her, I have made it for someone else to give her, mine I will show later on this week!

Crafty Sentiments new release and blog hop!

It's blog hop time again for a new release over at Crafty sentiments and they are sooooo cute yet again!

I am super late with this so my apologies to the girls on the team and the hoppers!

I have used rusty pickle papers for my card, I have had these for years and absolutely love them I'm sure you probably can't get them anymore but I may have to hunt around and see if I can get them anywhere again! I have also used flowers from WOC, butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner and a charm and bling from my stash.

Isn't this Annabelle pirate just adorable?! I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have added a Tim Holtz stamp around the edge in Worn Lipstick DI.

Monochromatic at SFTW

Hello friends, phew it's hot here at the moment! Here is our long awaited summer at last!

We have another new challenge over at SFTW and we have 3 new DT members who have just joined us too. This time our challenge is MONOCHROMATIC, which is shades of one colour. We are allowing skin and hair colours within an image if you like.

We are sponsored by the super fab Simon says stamp again!

My card is (in true blue peter fashion) is one I made earlier! This was another of the cards I made for CHA launching the Saturated Canary stamps in rubber at little Darlings.

I have used Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for my mono pink creation. I have used lace and flowers from WOC with a prima flower and butterfly from little snippets. My sentiment is an SU stamp as is my flourish stamp at the edge of my image.

I have used the wonderful Vampire Rose for my card and have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have kept her skin light and added stickles sparkles for the sparkly vampire effect and given her the golden brown eyes too.

I am entering this into Incy wincy sugar and spice, Lollipop crafts monochromatic, Lexis sparkle and shine, Craft your passion anything goes, Papertake weekly anything goes, simon says stamp bingo (gems free and lace) and Bearly mine sparkle and shine.

New challenge at Creative Inspirations and Divas by design!

Hello everyone!!!

I know I've been absent AGAIN! Honestly I do wonder where all the days go at the moment!

Thanks to all those of you who sent me stunning birthday cards and pressies last friday! I had a really nice day taking the kids to town and spending money on THEM lol! Then we had a proper blow out eating chinese takeaway followed by the chocolate fountain mmmm!

I was super lucky to get an Ipod touch too. I know I am behind on things with my lack of Iphone etc but I am loving it! Being able to chat to my sister face to face as she has an Ipad is great fun!

Well on to todays make which is a tin that I altered for my daughter Amelia. She wanted an extra container for her jewellery (she has a tonne of little rings and things) so I made this one for her.

Our challenge over at Creative Inspirations is Anything goes sponsored by Tickled pink whose image I have used and our challenge at Divas by Design is For a female and we are sponsored by Joanna Sheen.

I have used Tim Holtz papers along with lace, rose trimming, pink cameo and flowers from WOC and my Ticket stamps are Whimsy.

My adorable "Cherie" image is from Tickled pink and has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have used simply sweet rub ons for the word on her heart. I have also used and SU flourish stamp for the image edges.

I have used a piece of thin wire inside layered ribbon for the handle of the tin and added the bow and flower seperately. My stunning butterfly is from an amazingly talented lady Kays Kreative Korner. It is so sparkly and stunning!

Saturated Canary The great outdoors

Afternoon everyone!

It is actually a lovely afternoon here and I took the dog for a walk up to the local farmers fields, except that the farmer had been muck spreading mmmmm you can only imagine how lovely my dog now smells!

Speaking of which the theme over at Saturated canary for this challenge is The great outdoors (appropriate huh?!) and here is my take this time..

I have used hot colours today with these yummy papers from Black market paper society, a prima butterfly, MIC chipboard corner, Jute and flowers from WOC and a sentiment from LOTV.

My image is the wonderful Pack light from Saturated Canary, I think she is definitely ready for the great outdoors (just!) I have coloured her with prisma pencils and edges in some LOTV grunge corner stamps.

Thanks to all those of you who gave me advice re my picassa storage, it seems I have to spend some time resizing all my images now and rest assured there are tonnes of them!

Creative Inspirations In the garden

Hello folks! Hope everyone is well!

Is anyone getting into the Olympics then? I am not a sport watching type of person but I quite like the Olympics (especially the Men's Gymnastics and the Men's diving mmm lol!) How about that opening ceremony too? Utter craziness in my opinion, quintisentially British of course but totally nuts!

It's challenge time again over at Creative inspirations and our theme is "In the garden", we have a fab new sponsor Flonz stamps so do check them out!

Here is my card..

I have used Prima Alla Prima papers for my card along with flowers from WOC and sentiment from LOTV.

My image is one of the new Saturated Canary digis Catching butterflies, she has been coloured with prismas and I have used a SU flourish stamp in forest moss DI around the edges.

Ha ha funny that this card is full of sunshine and sunny days which is the complete opposite of what we have at the moment!

I would like to enter this into..
