Bingo at Creative Inspirations

Goodness me where is the time going?! I cannot believe how fast my days disappear and before I know it I have had no time to craft! I am slightly scared that xmas is creeping up on me waaaaaaaay to fast and I have really not made hardly any xmas cards!

I am also slightly fraught at the cost of such said seasonal event too! Especially as yesterday was just a major disaster day in our house! After 2 days of constant rain the roof decided to leak in Hiolette's room, this is down to a slow leak through the loft conversion. So we had to move the girls in together and are still waiting to have someone out to fix it but it does mean a full re decorate as much of the plaster and wallpaper is ruined and we have yet to establish if the carpet can be saved.

Then when I took the dog for a walk and hubby was upstairs, Hiolette decided to put the Wii remote through the TV completely ruining the LCD and taking all hope of a picture with it so now we need a new TV too and this one was not cheap! I have a feeling santa will be travelling light to our house this year!

Enough of my moaning and on to my card for today!

I have chosen to use Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for my card with some lilac Jute from WOC, flowers from WOC and Kort and Godt (at Joanna Sheen), a Holtzy frame on a LOTV sentiment and a beautiful Butterfly from Kay'sKK. I have of course used crackle paint on everything and my scrabble tiles were a free download.

My image is of course from the fab Kenny K and has been coloured with prisma pencils.

Challenge reminder at A Gem of A Challenge

Morning lovely people! Today I have a reminder of our current challenge over at A Gem of A Challenge, it is a recipe challenge of lemon, lilac, a bow and 2 butterflies. Well can anyone spot where I may have adapted the recipe a bit?!....

Yep there is definitely some lemon, lilac and a bow there but how many butterflies?! Well I'm not counting the 3 on the image so it is only 2 really! I have used papers from papermania with Jute and flowers from WOC, there are also some flowers from a local craft store and some stunning Kort and Godt flowers too. My fab butterflies are of course from the lovely Kays Kreative Korner and my sentiment is LOTV.

My sweet image is of course rainbow Chloe from Pink Gem Designs and I have coloured her with prisma pencils. All my edges have been inked with dusty concord and I have used silver stickles around the edges of all my mounted papers.

I am now watermarking all my images as well as the cards. I don't really like to do this but images are being stolen from blogs and Pinterest and being sold as clip art and pre coloured images so please be aware of this folks!

Christmassy layers!!

Morning everyone! Well it is getting cold now, lots of rain for us yesterday means cold nights and the possibility of heating soon! So in complete opposite to my summery card of yesterday it's as cold as you ca get today!

Our challenge over at Creative Inspirations this week is Christmas in September and we are sponsored by the fab paper Shelter whose images we are using. I have also combined this with the new challenge over at Divas by Design which is Lovely layers (min of 4) and we are sponsored by the brilliant one stop craft shop.

I have used pretty Pion papers for my card in soft blue tones. My Rose binding and flowers are from Wild orchids, my lace is from Bunny Zoes, my chipboard snowflake is kaiserkraft and my sentiment is waltzingmouse with my snowflake charm from Pink gem designs.

My sweet snowman is a cute paper shelter image coloured in prisma pencils. I have used stickles to give his body some sparkle (like all magic snowmen should!) and I have used snowtex on the ground and snowdrops.

I am going to enter this into..

Live and love crafts lace and trim, LCI photo inspiration,  Stampavie and more glitter, Crafts and me roses and Whimsy anything goes.

New challenge at Crafty Sentiments

Hi Everyone! Wow another weekend over and the closer to winter and Christmas we get "yikes!" I have normally started at least some of my christmas shopping by now but I seem to be getting more and more disorganised each year and leaving thins later and later, ah well I guess I will be getting into the spirit f it all soon enough!

It seems like forever since I joined in over at Crafty Sentiments with a DT card due to lack of time so I made a determined effort to get involved this week and we have a fab sketch over there for you to follow, here is my card..

Ha ha look at me talking about winter and Christmas but still making the most summery card I could think of!

I have used MME fine and dandy papers with flowers and lace from WOC, tiny ribbon and sentiment from Stampin Up and butterfly from little snippets.

My sweet image is from Crafty Sentiments and has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have used an SU floral stamp around the edges in Spiced Marmalade DI.

New challenge at A Gem of a challenge

Hi folks! I'm a bit late with this, sorry! I have been a busy bee working away and am now running a day late with my reminder post!

Saturated Canary all the Bs

Happy Thursday everyone! I honestly can't decided if it is hot or cold at the moment! I am freeeeezing at night yet this morning the sun was shining and its glorious in my conservatory!

You have probably already seen the new challenge over at Saturated Canary this week (the Lovely Krista posted it a bit early and of course I am miles behind!!) Our challenge to you is all the Bs so use B words (along with a saturated canary digi or rubba stamp or simply sassy stamp)

My Bs are Brown, blooms, butterfly, bow and button..

I've gone all autumnal for my card! I have used papers from Bo Bunny Et cetra collection with Jute and some flowers from WOC, a Kort and Godt flower, sentiment from LOTV and my butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner. How can anyone not love these butterflies?!!!! Honestly they are even prettier in real life with such stunning colour and sparkle I just want them all!

My sweet image is Autumn from Saturated Canary in rubba at Little darlings. I have used prisma pencils to colour her and added some vine stamping from SU in vintage photo ink around the edge.

Creative Inspirations colour challenge

Happy Wednesday everyone!

Well I don't seem to be making much progress with getting back into my blogging now do I?!

In my defence I just managed to get the kids back to school when.... one came home sick yesterday! I am destined never to have time to myself you know!

Today I have a card to show you for the Creative Inspirations colour challenge. I had a fab time making this card as it is for a friend through a card swap, sshhhhhhh it has to get to the USA so I don't think it is quite there yet!

And we are sponsored by the fabulous Meljens. Here is my card..

I have used prima fairy garden papers (these are so pretty) along with Jute and flowers from WOC and some flowers from Prima too. My sentiment is LOTV and my stunning butterfly is from Kays Kreative Korner. I was so thrilled how well this butterfly went with these papers!

I have used an image from Wee stamps, I have had her for ages and hadn't coloured her up at all, how bad is that! I have used prisma pencils to colour her and have used glossy accents with glamour dust for all the bubbles.

I apologise for my photos looking a bit washed out I did white balance them but they still have a bluish tinge!

I am entering this card into..

Allsorts layers, Dream valley something old (papers and stamp) and something new (my butterfly), Pile it on patterned paper, Cupcake crafts in stitches, Papertake weekly sweet or cute things and Bearly mine anything goes.

It's Christmas!!!!!..... at SFTW

Morning all! Well actually it's quite a sunny day here today in the North of the UK so maybe I am being a bit early with my Christmas predictions! But I'm off to work soon so I am going to stick with the festive feeling to keep me going!

Over at Stampin for the Weekend we have a new challenge for you and this one is STARTING CHRISTMAS EARLY , we are sponsored by the brilliant Simon says Stamp again so we do hope you will join in with us.

I love to occasionally use some completely non traditional colours for christmas cards, after all why not?!! I have used the wonderful Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for this card (may just have to get even more of these later!) along with flowers, rose seam binding trim and lace from Wild orchids. My butterfly is from the lovely Geraldine at little snippets and my sentiment is Waltzingmouse. My frosty wreath memory box die was bought with a fab voucher for my birthday from the lovely Laurie (thanks so much sweetie!) and I have used lots of white crackle paint on my edges.

My oh so gorgeous image is Saturated Canary for Little Darlings rubber stamps. I have coloured her with prisma pencils, given her wings the glamour dust treatment and then edged in victorian velvet ink. My little swirls in the corner are also Waltzingmouse stamps from the same set as my sentiment (love,love,love these stamps!)

Determined to find some challenges for this one!

CASE it at Creative Inspirations

Hello everyone!

It's the first day all the kiddies have gone off to school here and do you think I have peace? Don't be silly! Hubby has the day off as he wants to go to the football this evening so no such luck. I also have to work fri, sat and sunday so I am looking forward to a ME day on monday!

Over at Creative Inspirations today we have another CASE it challenge and Nat has provided us with the card to CASE. I have turned the card on it's side and copied the LO that way.

We are sponsored by Flonz stamps this wk too!

I have used papers from First edition for my card along with this sweet image from Mos, flowers from WOC, butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner and my sentiment stamp (the oriental writing) is from Our sponsor Flonz stamps.

This is one of my all time favourite Mos images, one of the winter fairies but I have made him all spring and bright here! I have coloured him with prisma pencils. My sentiment stamp from Flonz says Angel, I have also added this to the top in simply sweet alpha rub ons.

Hopefully I can find some challenges for this today!

Back to school

Just a quick post from me today it's all go go go here!

I have a little Gem of Inspiration to show you today..

On an appropriate back to school theme I have made a school bookmark using school girl Chloe from Pink Gem Designs.

I have used Echo park this & That papers along with a large Crop-a-dile eyelet, wooden puzzle pieces from Crafty Emblies and some different coloured twine.

I plaited the twine and attached all the "danglies" with giant pink jump rings.

I have coloured my cute image with prisma pencils and edged in vintage photo ink.

And this is the reason for the appropriateness...

My eldest started her first day at High school today!

Wow what a big step.

New challenge at Pink Gems!

Morning everyone! I'm off to work early this morning, I hope everyone else has fun plans for the weekend!

We have a fab new challenge over at A Gem of a challenge today and it is "One for the boys".

Mmmm never one of my faves! I wish I didn't struggle so much with male cards as I could always use more but it never really occurs to me to make any!

I did need to make a baby card though for my cousin who recently had a baby boy so this was the result.

Ha ha see I still went all pretty, well you can get away with it for baby cards!

I used Teresa collins papers, with flowers from WOC and Kort & godt and a pin from the lovely Tracey.

My butterfly is little snippets, unique tag is wild asparagus (I've had this for years!) pearsl are Kort & godt and my sentiment is LOTV.

My sweet image is from Pink Gem Designs and has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have added glamour dust to the hanging stars and moon for some extra sparkle.

I would like to enter this into..
