Anything goes at stampin for the weekend

Hello again everyone! I'm still cold ya know?! I shouldn't complain at least we don't have a tonne of snow but I feel the cold really badly (says she in her blanket and fingerless gloves!) so I'm all up for a bit of warmer weather now!
I have a new card to show you today which is a commission I made and is also perfect for the Anything goes challenge over at Stampin for the weekend today.
The request was an 18th girls birthday card, spring colours, girlie and with a frog....
Did I meet the criteria? I used fabulous Black market paper society papers.  Stunning flowers from WOC, butterflies from Kays kreative korner and love metal heart and wooden tag from LLC.
I gave the customer a few images to choose from (frog related) and she chose this one from Meljens which I have coloured with prisma pencils. I have added some pink liquid pearls and I have edged in a stempelglede flourish stamp in peeled paint distress ink.
Although this isn't normally the sort of image I go for I actually really enjoyed making this and hopefully that shows through in the work I have done.
Thanks for coming by my blog again everyone. It would be fab if you could join us for our Anything goes challenge at Stampin for the weekend with a chance to win a prize from Marker pop!
Big hugs

Saturated Canary Mother's day inspiration

Hello lovely folk how are we all?! It's a bit brrrr freezing here today (lots of cold fog about) and there was me thinking that spring was coming with a few recent days of sun!
I have made a little inspiration today for Saturated Canary. I wanted to make a Mother's day card with a difference. I haven't tried one of these cards with draws in before so I figured it was time to give it a go!
I found a tutorial on how to make something like this HERE. I changed the measurements a bit as I wanted mine to be bigger (this is a 6x6) I love the fact there are 2 little drawers to the front and one on either side so thats 4 drawers for little extra goodies!!
I have used Magnolia papers for all of this on kraft card stock. The little drawer handles are made from ribbon and gem brads. The card on top is an easel card and stands up on this sentiment I printed from google search which is mounted on foam pads.
My wonderful image is the darling Snail mail from saturated Canary she is just so cute! I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have edged  in a tsempelglede stamp in Victorian velvet ink. My cute wooden tag is from LLC and has been stamped with a LOTV stamp.
My fowers are a mixture of some stunners from LLC and WOC. There is a prima wooden clock in there and of course that stunning butterfly from Kays Kreative Korner (swoon!) I have also used a bit of pink tulle under the layers for added texture.
Here is ho the card lays flat against the box for ease of posting. Now all I have to do is find some delicious goodies to pop in those drawers and send it off to my mum!
Thanks for coming by my blog again and do pop by the SC blog for some more inspiration and join in with us over on our Facebook page for some challenge fun!

A male project with a flourish

Hello again everyone! Is it me or are the days just flying by at the moment?! I honestly can't seem to find time to catch up on anything these days and my crafting really does seem to be taking a back seat :(
Anyway I'm here today to show you a little box I made which is for both the new challenge at Midweek Magnolias (flourishes) and the new challenge also at Divas by Design (let's hear it for the boys).
I have made this for my brothers 50th birthday..
I have used stunning papers from Authentique for this and finished off with lots of kraft elements. My flourishes are cut with a magnolia die, my butterfly is prima and my wooden tag studio calico (at LLC).
I am ashamed to say this is the first time I have inked up this little cutie Edwin. He is from an older range but is just too adorable. I have coloured him with prisma pencils. The blotches around the edge are and urban stampin up stamp.. love this which I have stamped with stormy sky distress ink.
This is a perfect little box to hold his pressie in!
Do check out the makes from my other teamies. At MM there is an awesome prize up for grabs from Magnolia in Sweden! And at Divas yet another great prize from Craftie Charlie.
Thanks for coming by my blog again friends!
Big hugs to you all

The Divas are sparkling!

Hi everyone! Hope you are all well in blogland!
We managed to survive half term and are just getting back into a normal routine of things here again. The week went by really fast and it seems far too quiet with all the kiddies back at school!
Over at Divas by Design today we have a new challenge and a couple of new DT announcements so do pop over and say hi to them!
Our fab new challenge is to MAKE IT SPARKLE so we want to see glitter and bling for this one..
I have used Tim Holtz shabby chic papers for my card. Does anyone know where I can still get these? I just adore them and have practically used them all now I'm just hunting about for scraps! I have also used an abundance of flowers from WOC, LLC and Kort & Godt as well as using a Mariannes rolled rose die to create some of my own. My butterflies are prima.
My stunning image is another of those gorgeous Aurora wings digis. I have coloured her with prisma pencils, she actually scared the life out of me for colouring as she is so detailed but I just love her that I had to give her a go! I have used a stempelglede flourish stamp around the edge of my image and have added some shabby pink frantage for some extra sparkle.
Do check out the awesome makes from my teamies at the challenge blog, including one of our fab new DT already!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again folks!
Big hugs to you all

Beautiful Aurora wings digis

Hello everyone! Well I have to say I am on the mend, thanks for all your well wishes! I am taking some antibiotics at the moment so I am sure to be as right as rain before the end of the week!
I have made a card today just for the heck of it.... yes no DT card or commission or anything, just for fun!!!
I have found these beautiful stamps by Aurora wings through both blogging and facebook pages and I have to warn you they aren't for the faint hearted! What I mean is they can seem pretty daunting to the beginner colourer, although she does have some simpler designs in her etsy shop too!
I have used all Magnolia papers for this creation (such pretty colours!) along with some seam binding, jute and flowers from WOC, with some of my other flowers, berries and little wooden tag coming from Live and love crafts. My butterflies are from papermania which I have added some stickles sparkle to and the rest is from stash.
This is woman with Gardenia and pearls and I have coloured her as always with my prisma pencils. She did take quite a while lol, although I had to finish her over 2 days due to being disturbed by my day job!! I used liquid pearls for all the pearl strings here and added some stormy sky distress ink around the edge.
I can't decide yet whether to pop this one on my facebook selling page or keep her back for a special occasion!
I am going to enter her into..
Card making mamas make it sparkle, Simon says stamp get krafty (all my matting card stock is kraft), Fashionista shabby chic and Butterfly spot challenge butterflies and flowers.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs to you all

Sentimental flower power!

Happy Valentine's Day all my lovely blogging pals!
I hope you are all feeling the love today whether its for spouses/partners, children, friends or neighbours or just feeling happy about past loves that have graced your lives. We have all had some love in our lives at some point and today is a day for remembering all of those.
So here is a Valentines card in a non traditional sense today!
Over at A Creative Romance we have the theme of "let's get sentimental" and at Stampin for the weekend it's "flower power" so I have incorporated these into my hubby's valentine's card..
So I have gone for very non traditional spring colours rather than reds and pinks and why not I say?! My papers are prima Sunny days and I'm feeling that we need some of that right now! My butterflies are from e crafts and my heart from live and love crafts. My flourishes are memory box and my flowers are WOC. I have generated the sentiment myself on the computer.
My image is one of the new Saturated Canary releases "Walker in love" she comes with or without words and as my hubby is a big walking dead fan it seemed appropriate! I have coloured her in prisma pencils.
Do check out the awesome makes from the rest of the teamies and join in with our challenges for a chance at some fabulous prizes!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again friends and have a happy day wherever you are!!
Big hugs

Feeling the love with Saturated Canary

Ooo look at me back for another day!
Today I am showcasing another fab Saturated Canary digi which was given away with Complete Cardmaking issue 47..
What a cutie he is right?! I have used Echo park papers for my card along with prima bling, a memory box heart die, flowers from WOC and butterfly from Kays.
I have coloured my image with prismas, he is looking a bit pale here as the sun was shining a bit brightly that day (I know it's an odd thought!) I have used a stempelglede stamp around the edge of the image.
I've made this card for my nephew to give to his girlfriend, luckily none of mine are at an age where this has become a problem just yet for me :) but I thought this cutie was just right for a young man to give to his young lady.
I would like to enter this into Creative Inspirations Love,  Fab and funky Valentines, Addicted to stamps make your mark, Cute card thurs clever cutting and Crafty ribbons ribbons and bows.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog for this inspiration!

With love at Divas by Design

Hello blogging buddies!
I have been ick under the weather I'm afraid here so have been a bit quiet :(
My darling children gave me their illnesses (generous of them) so I have been ill with a nasty swollen throat and conjunctivitis in both eyes! I'm determined to get on the mend quickly though!
Over at Divas by Design today we have the new theme of "With Love" which can of course be interpreted for valentines or for any type of creation with love that you like.
I have made my kiddies valentines jars this year...
These were sweet jars that my daughter had over xmas (I love a good bit of recycling!) Which i cut out a heart to use as a mask for the window and then proceeded to paint them with a gesso and acrylic paint mix. Inside are the cutest pink heart shaped chocolates with sprinklies on!
(Do you like my bright pictures in bad weather too?.... new daylight lamp!)
The cute tags were a free printable download that I found on pInterest (seriously have to love that place for free printables but do watch out for the illegal Copyright breach of pinning images that you know you have to pay for) I then added some cute ribbon around the lid and used some bakers twine to tie on the label and my little heart key charm.
Here you can see the flowers I have added to the top and also some punched butterflies that have been punched with a Martha Stewart punch.
Do check out the stunning creations from the rest of my teamies on this love theme and please join us for a chance to win a fab prize from Mei flower!
I am entering this into Wild orchids Love is, Papertake weekly with a heart and fussy and fancy be my valentine.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!

Love and die cuts

Hello everyone, I hope you are all well out there in blogland! I know there is lots of colds and flu stuff going about at the moment, the kiddies here have been full of it over the last week!
Today I have made a card for the new challenge over at Midweek Magnolias which is Love/Valentines and also for our new challenge over at Divas by Design which is to use die cuts.
I've gone a bit purple crazy for this one! I know that I'm normally a pink type of gal especially for the love cards but I had these beautiful Magnolia papers which I won in a give away from Tracy at Dies to Die for and they just oozed love in all it's purpleness so thats where we went!
I have used die cuts from magnolia (flourish), nesties (tags) and memory box (heart border) My flowers are mostly WOC with some ribbon girl stuff added in and my beautiful butterflies are of course from Kays. My sentiment is Papertrey ink.
This is love letter Tilda she is soooo cute and I have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have gone a bit heavy on the black again but I'm still experimenting a bit with my colouring! The edge stamps around the image are stempelglede.
Do check out the stunning creations from both my teamies at Midweek Magnolias and of course Divas, there is so much prettiness to look at!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog and I do hope you get the chance to join in with us this time!
Big hugs

Polkadoodles Oriental and SFTW anything but a card

Hey everyone! I'm here with a couple of little oriental projects today. I have to say I'm not the biggest fan of oriental crafting but this new CD from Polkadoodles is fabulous and really does make oriental so pretty!
There is a new Anything goes challenge on over at Polkadoodles and studio 12 and the DT are showcasing this new Dolly goes East CD available for pre order, here is my card...
My papers are all from the CD, such stunning colours. My sentiment tickets are also from the CD, as are my butterflies. I have printed my butterflies onto vellum and added glossy accents to their bodies and stickles sparkle to their tips to give them dimension. I have added flowers from WOC with my black foliage cut from a Mariannes die.
My beauitful image is one of 12 stunning girls on the CD and I have coloured her with prisma pencils. I have added some stamped foliage around the edge of my image in black ink with an SU stamp.
Do check out the other beautiful creations from the rest of the DT at Polkadoodles!
Over at Stampin for the weekend this time we have the challenge of anything but a card and I have decided to again make a gift bag. I have altered a basic one from paperchase here..
All of my papers are again from the new Dolly goes East CD at Polkadoodles, what a fab colour combo this teal and red make! The sentiment ticket, printed butterfly and image are all from the same CD. My flowers are WOC with some prima bling and butterfly border and black butterflies cut with joy crafts dies.
My beautiful image I have coloured again with prisma pencils and have used some liquid pearls on her hair. I have stamped some flowers with an SU stamp around the image in black ink.
Do check out the stunning non-card creations from my teamies over at SFTW and why not join in with us for a fab prize!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog everyone!
Big hugs to you all

A Framed Saturated Canary

Happy Thursday out there!!!
Today I have a little Saturated Canary Inspiration for you...
As I said previously, we are decorating Caleb's room and I am trying to put some little personal touches in there which includes this.
I am not so great with Male cards or male orientated crafting but I really wanted to make him a little picture for the wall so I jumped right in!
There is a bit of reflection on this as it is behind glass but I have used Bazill basics papers (love these) along with a recycled jeans tag, film strip from Tim Holtz and most other bits from my stash. The large arrow was stamped with a kaisercraft stamp and the letters were cut with Sizzix Cherish alphas. My postage mark stamp is whimsy.
My image I coloured with prisma pencils and I went back to the light-dark technique for this one! I'm still not confident on which way is best! This is Skateboarding by Saturated Canary, he is one of the digis that will be retired on 25th of this month and I think he is so good for boy crafts so grab him while you still can!
Here you can get a better view of the piece in the box frame ready to put on his wall!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again everyone!
Big hugs
