Happy Friday with Mrs Hoot!

Good afternoon everyone! Sorry I didn't get by in the end to blog yesterday, the school fete was a great success! My cake had to have it's weight guessed as opposed to raffled (even I should have entered as I had no idea what the weight was lol!) I sold 17 cards and had orders for more so that wasn't bad!
On to todays card though and I have used this fabulous digi stamp available to buy here from pink gem designs isn't she cute?! I have followed the sketch this wk over at papertake weekly and followed the theme at paperplay of "up in the air". I have also followed the colour combo over at simon says stamp which is Pink or Blue with green and brown and lastly (of course) I am entering this into One stitch at a times challenge of furry (or feathered) friends! I haven't used a stitchy stamp this time which makes a change but I guess I'm allowed the odd defection lol!

I have used yummy nitwits collections papers again (I can't seem to get away from the lucious digi papers anymore!) My image is coloured with Prismas and sparkles. I have used MS Doily punch with lace from stash (I found a great seller on e bay that does fabby lace!) My Sentiment ticket is pink gem designs and my flowers are wild orchid crafts with Mcgill branch punch.

Thanks tonnes and tonnes for coming by, I am at work again the wkend and then my mum is up for a week so I will try my best to not neglect my blog or blogging friends! hugs to everyone! Rebekah xx

The calm before the storm!

Well, good evening everyone, I thought I would post late tonight as I could be more than a litle busy tomorrow although I may just have to sneak back here tomorrow eve! I have made this card for the Tiddlyinks challenge of Bring on the Bling. I have followed the sketch over on friday sketchers this wk and am also putting this into stamp somethings challenge of 2 of something (I have used 2 colours pink and green again lol!) and stamptaculars challenge of pearls and swirls (the backing paper does have swirls though you can't see them all that well!).

I have used pink petticoat digi papers from the "one in a melon" set. This adorable princess digi new at tiddlyinks, the sentiment is one from a mini box set at the cutting cafe, the flowers are wild orchid crafts, pearls and lace from stash and lots and lots of sparkle!

I have at last finished the cake for the school fete for them to raffle, I have no idea why I volunteer myself for this each time! I have to take it tomorrow morn and then go food shopping before I go back to man my card stall after lunch!

I hope they generate some raffle money from my creation, the bees have to be held in place by cocktail sticks so I hope they are all still in place by the morning!

Hope everyone is having lovely nights! Thanks for popping by to visit me again in my sometimes insane little world!! Hugs Rebekah xx

Hi Everyone! Happy Tuesday to you! Creative cottage DT card

Morning everyone! oops I'm a bit late this morn with my Creative cottage DT card, apologies it's my vain attempt to get fitter before the race for life in 4 wks so I'm attempting to jog a bit in the morning lol!
This week over at the creative cottage challenge blog we are asking you to create something with Fancy folds. That could be an easel, concertina, tent card etc or a bag, box or other altered piece. There is a bags of style easel kit up for grabs for one lucky winner and a chance to grab our favourites badge if you are picked! This week I have used the with love freebie that you can grab here and made a tealight card ispired over at Lena's blog you can grab the template for it here. It's a fab little present in a card. I am also entering this card into the creative inspirations challenge which this week is fairies! Lol I could do half a dozen cards for that one!

I made this card for a friend Clare, who recently sent me some clothes her sons had grown out of for my son, how fab! he is actually wearing one of the shirts today.

I have used this adorable digi image from TGF, another lovely fairy! The sentiment is SU. Pretty much everything else is the creative cottage freebie "with love". I popped in 4 tealights and tied it up with gold organza ribbon which I also used to tie to the 2 parts of the card together. Flowers are wild orchid crafts and everything is distressed with vintage photo.

Thanks loads and loads for popping by again, off to make something else now lol! hugs to all Rebekah x

Hi everyone, thanks so much for coming by again and checking out my blog! Today I have followed Jaques sketch over at friday sketchers and it's a great one! I am also putting this forward for the sentimental sundays theme this wk of for that someone special and paperplays theme of stamp and bling and also digital tuesdays a toast to you, food and drink challenge (my papers are my digi element although my stamp isn't and there are cherries on my papers hope that counts lol!)

A wedding card

Hello everybody, thanks for popping by again. Today I have followed the sketch over on papertake weekly to make this wedding card. I'm not a fan of wedding cards and haven't really found a wedding stamp I like until now! My fab blogging friend Tracy from over at the creative cottage had me looking at this new challenge blog and digi stamps called tiddlyinks and I found this adorable wedding couple digi stamp which I just love! So I have entered their challenge over at the tiddlyinks challenge which is to use fabric on your card. I am also entering this card into the by the cute and girlie monthly challenge of celebrations and the totally gorjuss challenge of stitches, its also the theme over at charisma cards of weddings this wk so hurray for meeting another challenge!
And had a last minute tell about crafty cardmakers doing a distressed challenge Yay thx Lisa Jane!.

As much as I love the effect of stitching on a card, me and the sewing machine do not have a good relationship! The thread broke 3 times and I spent about 20 mins trying to thread the needle just for this card so don't expect the stitching thing to be a regular feature lol! I did stitch the lace fabric to the card too but didn't like the finish so stuck a ribbon over the top! Atleast I have some stitching (if not slightly wobbly!) around the edges.

My gorgeous digi image as said before is tiddlyinks, papers are a bargain basement thing from the paper mill, the bottom one has a shiny embossed effect which looks fab when distressed but you prob can't really see that in the photo. The sentiment is computer printed and the fabric lace from stash. The flowers and pearls are wild orchid crafts although the big adhesive pearls are from bunny zoes. The edges are all distressed with vintage photo and the image has antique linen painted around it.
Thanks so much for leaving me some comments and coming by to have a peek at what I have done today hugs Rebekah xx

Stamp something sketch

Another challenge card from me today! I have followed the sketch over on stamp something this wk, which I think is lovely. I haven't added a sentiment as the PP from Nitwits has wording on which I think would be a shame to hide. I am also putting this in to the anyone for anya challemge of lotsa layers, the flutterby wednesday of anything goes and paperplay pretty pastels challenge.

I have used nitwits digi papers again with a gorgeous digi stamp from the greeting farm. there are 4 fairies in total, this is the srping fairy. She is coloured ala prismas and the flowers are wild orchid crafts.

Thank you so much for taking the time to come by my blog and have a look and for any comments that you leave, hugs to everyone Rebekah x
