It's another Gem of a challenge!

Morning everyone! My apologies for not having blogged for a couple of days, I have been busying behind the scenes but have also felt a bit under the weather. However my little man is now off to nursery in the afternoons giving me 3 hours all to myself (woo hoo!) not quite sure what I'm doing with them yet though!
Today sees the start of a new monthly pink gem designs challenge over at a gem of a challenge and our fabulous sketch this month has been chosen by the lovely Janet, who has given us the optional extra of using some sparkle! Janet is also on hols at the mo so she is giving a special 5% discount on stamps to make up for the wait on orders placed whilst she is away! Here is Janets fabby sketch.

I used nautical Milly for my card, she is adorable and on sale at the store right now so she is an absolute bargain! I have also used some more freebie downloadable papers from Pixels and ice cream, these are lovely colours and oh so free which makes them even nicer! I have used nesties to cut out the centre Milly is sitting on and my flowers and ribbon slider are wild orchids.

I have layered Milly to give her a more 3D effect, so her hat, arms, legs and part of her dress stand out. I actually really like this effect even if it is a little time consumming! My gorgeous sentiment ticket stamp is also pink gem designs and there is lots of sparkle all over of course!

I am entering this into Incy Wincys challenge of celebrate, Lexis creations flower power challenge, Pennys paper crafty happy birthday challenge and totally stampalicious challenge of paper flowers.
I hope you will join us over at our challenge this month, it's a lovely sketch to play with! Thanks so much for coming by to see me! I promise to have a few more bits to show over the next few days to make up for my lack of showing over the last few! Hugs to everyone!

Fab card Rebekah, love how you have put it together. I think I will have to go and look at those freebies, thanks for the link.
I am sure your litle one will be fine at nursey. My 4 yr old grandaughter starts Reception class today and my youngest 2 yr old grandaughter started nursery on Monday, so I know how you feel. But just enjoy the 'you' time.
Take care. Luv B xxxx
