Hello friends! What a busy week I have had with the kids off for half term and now I get to top it off with a 10 hr shift at work today and an 11 hour shift tomorrow due to someone being off sick, oh well money towards christmas I guess!
Today sees another challenge over at A gem of a challenge and this one has been set by the lovely Janet who wants us to make something with a theme of "Cold and Frosty" and guess what I made another shaker card lol, I'm suddenly loving these!
I have followed the fabulous sketch over at Sweet sketch Wednesday for my card and have used the sublime Tim Holtz shabby chic papers (Yes Laurie I know they are only for stroking but I just can't help myself!!!) I have used snowtex on all the corners for a distressed look and machine stitched. My ribbon and pearls are from stash, my sentiment is waltzingmouse and I have used a magnolia doo hickey die in the form of the swirl and marianne Ds snowflakes die cuts under my flowers. My stunning flowers are mostly from mulberry crafts with the odd bits from a local craft shop.
My sweet image is Angel Chloe from Pink Gem Designs and she has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have found these amazing wood flourish frames from Kaisercraft, I'm also adoring all their wooden flourish range at the mo! I used some acrylic paint mixed with crackle glaze (prob will prime it next time) and then after it had dried used snowtex around the edges. My clear front is OHP sheet and my shaker bits are white and silver glitter.
I have also snowtexed my flowers and stickle glittered my die cuts.
I hope you will join us in this fab challenge and also check out the superb creations from the rest of my teamies!
I would also like to enter this into Lollipop crafts Embellish it, Party time Tues anything goes, Crafts and me Winter Blues, Charisma anything goes, Dutch dare pearls and swirls, Crafty Ribbons Bingo (flowers, ribbons and dies), Aud sentiments winter theme, Totally papercrafts glitter it and Raise the bar sew what.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again folks, I'm hoping I may be a bit more creative next wk with the kiddies back to school!
Hugs to everyone

Creative inspirations Orange, Purple and Black combo
Hi again folks! Well the head doesn't seem to be so bad today so maybe that's a good sign! Having said that the kids have been driving me insane which has probably not helped my head at all! I absolutely love them dearly and love having them home with me but it would be great if they could just stop arguing and bickering constantly! I guess that is the perils of having 3 of differing ages you will never please them all!
However it is challenge time again at creative inspirations and this time we have a colour challenge. We are sponsored by the fab Crimson cloud and this week we would like to see you use Orange, Purple and Black. Of course this would generally conjure up halloween cards but since when have I been one to keep on trend!
I have used papers from papermania capsule collection. My image is another stunning Saturated canary digi called Gothica, she seemed perfect for this colour combo! My lace, ribbon, button and pearl are from stash. My sentiment ticket is whimsy and my flowers are wild orchids, my glass bottle is 7 gypsies with some micro beads inside from stash.
I have coloured my image with Prisma pencils and have inked all the edges of my layers with dusty concord ink. I have machine stitched all my layered elements too and added pearls to my petal edged cardstock.
I am entering this into Saturated canary stitching, Crafty catz happy birthday, Stampin with the dragon buttons and bows, Simon says stamp anything goes and paper sundaes sundae bar I used black, flowers and bling.
Please do check out the superb creations from the rest of my teamies and enter with us too!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again, hugs to you all

Creative card crew falling for you
Hello everyone! What a weekend I have had! I had a busy couple of shifts at work as per the norm but managed to get hit in the head which resulted in a very sore bump and possibly even a mild concussion! My head is still aching now and is so sore to touch! I'm sure it will get better soon, thank goodness I have a fringe to cover my unsightly bump!
Onto our challenge today though over at Creative card crew and our theme is "falling for you" so love, marriage that sort of thing. We are lucky to be sponsored by the fab Paper shelter who have donated us images to use. Sorry for my photos it was getting dark when I took them!
I decided to make a shaker card (my first can you believe!) I actually loved it and will definately be making more of these in the future they are so cute! I have used papers from My minds eye lost and found collection along with cheesecloth and ribbon from stash. Lace and flowers from Wild orchids with some flowers coming from a local craft store
I have coloured my sweet image with prisma pencils and used a nellie snellen die to cut the frame and acetate. My shaker bits are pink and white glitter. I have some micro beads around somewhere and will def be popping them into a shaker card soon for some extra noise lol!
I have cut my tabs with nesties fancy tags and added glittery pearls. My simple sentiment is Hanglar. From this angle you can see the popped up frame for the shaker.
I would like to enter this into Truly scrumptious Shaker card challenge, The Emerald faerie garden flowers, Totally papercrafts layer upon layer, Challenge up your life colour challenge, The squirrel and the fox one for the girls and Corrosive flying things.

SFTW spooky challenge with Pink Gem designs
Hidey ho campers!!! I hope you are all well out there! I had harvest assembly at the school yesterday so lots of singing surrounded by packet foods and tins! It is my favourite school assembly and it was the last one where all my 3 kiddies were together as next septemnber my eldest goes to high school!
Enough of my waffling though it's challenge time at Stampin for the weekend again and this time we have a "spooky" challenge for you sponsored by the fab Pink Gem designs. I decided to make another treat holder, this time a box.
I have used papers from Echo park apothecary collection again and have also used this super cute digi Halloween Josh from Pink Gem designs. I have layered the top with black tulle, a metal corner from Tim Holtz and flowers from Prima and wild orchids.
My sweet image has been coloured with prismas, cut with nesties and edged in spiced marmalade distress ink. He is such a cutee!.
My sentiment is from a fab range at Waltzingmouse stamps (just love their halloween sets!) and I have made it into a tag hanging on my twine bow to which I have added some antique metal spacer beads, pearls and some acrylic charms bought from e bay.

Creative Inspirations Monochromatic
Hey everyone! I know it has been a bit since I have posted. My internet went down which didn't help things and then I have been reassessing how I spend my time a bit and am trying to divide my time now between getting fit, relaxing and crafting. Of course there is all that dreaded housework to fit in there too so I have been a bit absent of late.
We do have another fabulous challenge over at creative inspirations and this time it has been chosen by yours truly and it is monochromatic, (for those not in the know that is shades of one colour) and we are sponsored this wk by Robyns fetish who gave us some great images to work with.
I have used the fab black market paper society papers again (Last time I looked they were back in stock at Craftie Charlie!) along with some lace and cheesecloth from stash, image from Robyns fetish, flowers from Wild orchids and chipboard snowflakes from My mums craft shop. My sentiment is Waltzingmouse.
I have coloured my image with prisma pencils and given him the glamour dust treatment. The stamped snowflakes at the edge are magnolia and I have inked in black memento. The chipboard snowflakes have been painted in white acrylic then glamour dusted. My white flowers have been stickle sparkled and the black have been snowtexed. I have distressed my papers with a blade and then used acrylic paint and rock candy crackle paint to give a turned up edge.
I have followed the sketch this wk for my card over at Willow sketchie and would also like to enter this into Aud sentiments winter theme, Crafty sentiments snowmen, Crafty Anns inspired by a xmas song (Frosty the snowman), Secret crafter white and one other, Whoopsidaisy free and easy, Simply create shades of black, Crafty pad monochromatic and Ohh la la creations let it snow.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog!! Please check out the challenge and join us, the rest of the DT have made some superb creations!
Hugs to all

A gem of a challenge sketch
Hi folks, super quick post from me as I'm off to work and I have only just got my internet back after it being off for 24 hours so I'm a bit late with my DT post for the new sketch over at a Gem of a challenge
I have used this super cute new digi available at Pink gem designs called Halloween Phoebe isn't she cute?! I have used digi papers too from Susans crafty chaos and sentiment from Waltzingmouse.
Hopefully I will have some time later to list all my embellies etc but I really have to rush now!
Hopefully I will find some challenges for this later too and will also be back sometime soon to draw the winner of my candy!
Big hugs and thanks for popping by!

Creative Inspirations single layer card
Hello folks, yes I am still surviving my Wii Zumba lol! Actually I have managed the 20 min beginner lesson, it looks messy and nothing like the instructor on the TV but heck I sweat like crazy and nearly fall down at the end so I must be doing some good!
Today at creative Inspirations is a new challenge "single layer cards" ugh! Sorry but this is so NOT my type of challenge! We all know I'm not a CAS girl and I struggled with this, but then most of the DT said they struggled too lol!
See?! No DP, No embellies, no lace, no ribbon, no flowers, no nothing really! I just broke out my fab new fall stamp club from Magnolia and stamped this stunning little angel Tilda and used the snowflakes as a back ground. My sentiment is Waltzingmouse.
Tilda has been coloured with prismas and glittered with stickles. I masked her to give a distressed blue outline so the image would seem wintry and pop a bit from the page, I have also stickle glittered around the edge of the card. What else can I say about my card, there is nothing on it lol!
Do check out the rest of the DTs creations for some inspiration on doing this yourselves!
I would like to enter this into Just magnolia anything goes, Secret crafter anything sparkly, Whoopsidaisy xmas, One stop craft anything goes, OSAAT anything goes, Sentimental sundays anything goes and 2 anything goes.
Thanks for popping by here again today! Big hugs

Creative card crew something spooky
Hello everyone I hope you are all well! Here's a question for you... has anyone tried Zumba for the Wii? OMG it nearly killed me! I'm not the most coordinated of peeps so I looked like a complete idiot trying to copy the moves and failing miserably but despite all that there was no way I could even manage the 20 min beginner work out! 5 mins and I was nearly on my back exhausted! I guess it is all in the name of fitness!
Onto the more calming and restful side of me though, crafting (a much less strenuous activity!) our challenge for the next 2 wks at Creative card crew is something spooky and we are sponsored by the oh so fab Simon says stamp.
I have made a halloween treat bucket just ready for goodies! The bucket was one I got with some smellies in last xmas. I haven't done much to the bucket itself but I have given it a little floral makeover and made my fab halloween tag to tie on.
My gorgeous tag has been made with echo park apothecary papers and another one of those super fab digis from Krista over at saturated Canary. My lace, button, gems and ribbon are from stash and I have created my own charm and bead dangly with some bits I picked up on ebay. My image has been coloured with Prismas and my fabulous sentiment is one from the super waltzingmouse stamps again.
My dotty wired ribbon I bought from the local charity shop and my flowers are a flat one from stash inked and glittered and a black rose from wild orchids. My pumpkin charm is also from stash.
I would like to enter this into Hooked on craft challenges anything but a card, Pink elephants photo inspiration, Paper shelters halloween, Charisma black and orange, Fussy and fancy halloween, Stampin with the dragon fall colours, Challenge up your life halloween, 2 sisters halloween, Catch the bug halloween anything but a card, Stamp scrap & doodle round things, Quirky crafts halloween and sparkles forum halloween.
For those who wanted to see some evidence of our crazy work day on saturday....
Here is my boss dressed as Michael Jackson sampling in the street! He got pretty hot in that by the end of the day.
Here is me in the famous Cheryl Cole attire with my fab friend Khaled dressed as bob Marley!
And here I am with another work friend called Becky who also dressed as Cheryl but in the opposite colours so that was lucky! We were the Cheryl twins for the day!
Thanks again for coming by my blog folks, hope you can join us in our spooky challenge!
Hugs to all

Yet another saturated canary card!
Good morning everyone! Well today is another charity day at work and we have to go dressed as pop icons!!! Seriously, who thinks up these ideas?! Of course my attitude would have nothing to do with the fact I'm the oldest person there and can't think of any pop icons that are less than glamorous and are bigger than a size 8 lol! I can't imagine Lady Gaga, Britney or Madonna wearing anything that I would deem suitable for me to wear in public! Anyway I trawled the internet and found the cheapest thing was a Cheryl Cole outfit (I'm still mortified at the idea!) wish me luck with that!
My card today uses another one of those super fab Saturated Canary digis, I can't get enough of these! (Anyone who didn't see yesterdays SFTW DT card scroll down for another SC!)
I have followed the sketch over at Saturated Canarys 1st challenge (woo hoo!) I sort of did it again, there is a piece offset under my image at an angle (as per the sketch) but I have covered it in cheesecloth and embellies so you can barely see it! These are lovely papers from my minds eye lost & found collection but you would never know as I've covered them all up!
My butterfly is again from the fab little snippets, my lace is wild orchids with some of my flowers also. Other flowers are Prima with pink glass charms from e bay. My sentiment is SU.
My sweet image has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have edged in worn lipstick and vintage photo inks and machine stitched. My flourishes are an SU stamp inked in vintage photo.
I even decorated a little box for my card, nothing too extravangant due to minimal time but something simple and matching.
Thanks so much for coming by my blog again! There is still some time left to enter my candy if you are interested!
Big hugs
