Just because...

Morning everyone! I've made a card just because for today (wow), it's not often I make anything that isn't DT work and I do have plenty to do!

However, my nephew has recently started to draw Anime characters of his friends and is pretty good so I sent him a link via facebook of one of my favourite Anime artists on DeviantArt Sureya and whilst there found some amazing new images for colour! This one I just couldn't resist, if this was my guardian angel he could watch over me anytime!

I have used Tim Holtz Shabby chic papers, I actually have no idea why I buy such pretty papers as you rarely get to see much of them on my cards! I have also used flowers and Jute from WOC, butterfly from e crafts and sentiment from LOTV.

This beautiful image has been coloured with prisma pencils and my corner stamp flourish is Stempleglede. I have double mpunted everything and machine stitched. Please do have a look at Sureya's open colouring book, you are welcome to colour any of the images but not for re sale, this card will be given away to a family member or friend.

Divas tags and CI anything goes

Morning! Sorry, I really am lapse at the moment aren't I?! Well you can blame Christian grey and my general lack of organisation skills for that! Anyone else been sucked in by the 50 shades trilogy? I have to say that I am enjoying it and am compelled enough to read it to find out what happens but it's no Twilight. Sorry Christian fans, even now if I read the first Twilight book (and have read it more than once) I simply cannot put it down and I even crave to read it again now, so it's still Edward all the way for me lol!

On to the real reason I'm posting today which is the new challenges over at Creative Inspirations and Divas by Design, I have combined again but then they both have the same sponsor this week so it only seems right!

Over at creative Inspirations it's Anything goes (yay!) and at Divas it's tags (either a tag or put one on your creation somewhere) both sponsored by Meljens.

I have used papers from One moment in time by the scrapcake (so pretty) along with flowers from Kort and Godt and WOC. My lace, seam binding and flower trim are all also WOC with my butterfly coming from little snippets. My tag is from a pair of jeans I bought in Primark! Yep some of those cheapy tags make great embellies!

My sweet image is from Meljens and has been coloured with prismas. I have used some glamour dust sparkle on the wings and have machine stitched all my edges.

I've been terribly lapse with challenges and blog hopping so do forgive me!

A gem of a challenge recipe time

Morning friends! More rain here, anyone fed up yet?! I'm off to work today so this is a scheduled post, assuming it all goes to plan! It does feel like an age since I posted a DT card for A Gem of a challenge but this time we have a fab recipe. It's all the Bs - buttons, bows, bling and butterflies. You need to include all of these on your creations which to be honest wasn't that hard for me!

I have used the papers from Prima for my card along with blooms from WOC and Mulberry crafts. My bling is from Sarah's and my butterfly little snippets of course! I have also used another of these totally adrable tag stamps from LOTV.

I have used this cute school girl Emma digi from Pink Gem Designs. She is perfect for this card which my daughter will give to one of her friends who is going to a different high school at the end of term.

I have coloured her with prisma pencils and have used LOTV grunge corner stamps in dusty concord ink for the stamped over effects.

Saturated Canary DT card Red,white and blue

Hi folks! I sit here with wet feet after walking the dog through the fields this morning! It seemed like a good idea at the time but I hadn't anticipated my shoes being so non waterproof! I guess I should invest in some wellies especially as it will be wet walking again this evening!

On to todays DT card for Saturated Canary and this time we have the theme of Red, white and blue!

I had a bit of a mojo vanishing moment with this! I think all the drugs have kicked out my tonsilitus and taken my creativity with it! I must give myself a good talking to and get more creative again!

I have used Portobello rd papers here along with flowers from WOC and Mulberry crafts and little sentiment tags from LOTV.

My beautiful image from Krista's store has been coloured with prisma pencils and I have added some SU flower stamps to the edge and machine stitched. I am hunting down polychromos now as my birthday is less than 2 months away and I am hoping my family will chip in and help me get them so I can have more shades for colouring, here's hoping!!!

Creative Inspirations Case it and Divas to "die" for

Helloooooooooo! Yes I haven't fallen off the face of the earth honest! We did have a lovely holiday but it unfortunately ended in me being quite poorly. I came home on Friday (after the excessive car journey due to motorway traffic) to being shoved off to the out of ours doctor to be told I had Tonsilitus and an ear infection. I have been super drugged up on 24 tablets a day and was therefore not much use over the weekend either. I am now off the pain killers though and just on the anti biotics so hopefully I'm fully on the road to recovery! It's been over 10 years since I have had Tonsilitus and it really isn't much fun. I still feel quite delicate to touch, maybe thats old age creeping in!

It's challenge time again over at Creative Inspirations and Divas by Design. I sneakily combined them today. Over at CI we are asking you to "case it". We have a fab card from Chris which we are asking you to "case" and Nat has provided a great prize! Whilst at Divas we have the theme of to "die" for asking you to use some form of die cuts on your project. Here is mine..

I have used Teresa Collins papers again with a memory box die cut heart, flowers from WOC, butterfly from little snippets (thankyou Geraldine) and sentiment from SU.

My image is of course a darling Magnolia coloured with prismas. I have used a stempelglede flourish stamp in the corners and have machine stitched all edges.

Stampin for the weekend bugs and butterflies

Morning folks! Well these days just seem to be flying by for me,  can't believe it's nearly the weekend already!

My eldest comes home from guide camp today so I'm sure to be knee deep in muddy clothes for the weekend and thats not to mention all the packing I need to do for our little hols (if i'm not about much next week it's because I'm away!)

In amoungst all this it is time for another challenge over at STFW. This time we have the theme of Bugs and Butterflies. So anything of that sort in an image, on paper as a charm or embellishment etc.

I was lucky enough to get to use one of our fabulous sponsor Bugaboos images, she is such a cutie. I have also used nitwits papers that were scraps in my stash (yep I actually used scraps!) and my flower vine with butterflies is Prima, one I have had in my stash for ages. I also used pink tulle layered and some lace from WOC. My sentiment is whimsy.

My cute image from Bugaboo has been coloured with prisma pencils. I have machine stitched all the edges of my layers.

Saturated Canary Anything goes

Afternoon all! Well it's chucking it down with rain here AGAIN! This doesn't bode well for dog walking you know!

Well, it's challenge time again at Saturated Canary and we have a fab challenge of ANYTHING GOES gotta love those right?!

I have used the gorgeous up up and away stamp from Krista's store, isn't she just the best?! I have teamed her with some Echo Park this and that papers, a binder clip that I painted with blonde moments paint, a butterfly from little snippets (just placed another order!) and flowers from WOC and Mulberry crafts. My sentiment is portobello rd.

I have coloured my image with prisma pencils, I really just love her!

Creative Inspirations card for a male

Hello everyone! I really am a bad blogger at the moment and I promise to make it up in some candy soon! I can't even promise to be much better over the coming weeks with the children off school and then my new job starting. I am also creating a fair few projects behind the scenes which I cannot reveal just yet.

I hope all the UKers have recovered from their extra long weekends and the jubilee celebrations!

Today we have another challenge over at Creative Inspirations which is a card for a male (groan never my fave lol)

I actually quite enjoyed this though and needed a boy card for an upcoming birthday..

I have used these fabulous Bazzill basics paper Dino-mite papers, loved these as soon as I saw them! Along with an old tag off new jeans (did I mention I keep all those sort of tags?!) and a metal tab.

I have used this adorable Smitty image from Saturated Canary unfortunately he has now been discontinued sorry folks! (have you been to Krista's new store yet she has some fab new releases!) I have coloured him with prisma pencils and added a stempelglede flourish stamp and a birthday postmark stamp from whimsy. I have machine stitched all my edges.

Happy Jubilee weekend!

Hi folks, no card from me today it's been a busy and fun long weekend which slightly turns to normality from tomorrow (kiddies still off school but hubby back at work)
