Hello everybody, thanks for popping by again. Today I have followed the sketch over on
papertake weekly to make this wedding card. I'm not a fan of wedding cards and haven't really found a wedding stamp I like until now! My fab blogging friend
Tracy from over at the
creative cottage had me looking at this new challenge blog and digi stamps called
tiddlyinks and I found this adorable wedding couple digi stamp which I just love! So I have entered their challenge over at the
tiddlyinks challenge which is to use fabric on your card. I am also entering this card into the
by the cute and girlie monthly challenge of celebrations and the
totally gorjuss challenge of stitches, its also the theme over at
charisma cards of weddings this wk so hurray for meeting another challenge!
And had a last minute tell about
crafty cardmakers doing a distressed challenge Yay thx Lisa Jane!.

As much as I love the effect of stitching on a card, me and the sewing machine do not have a good relationship! The thread broke 3 times and I spent about 20 mins trying to thread the needle just for this card so don't expect the stitching thing to be a regular feature lol! I did stitch the lace fabric to the card too but didn't like the finish so stuck a ribbon over the top! Atleast I have some stitching (if not slightly wobbly!) around the edges.

My gorgeous digi image as said before is tiddlyinks, papers are a bargain basement thing from the paper mill, the bottom one has a shiny embossed effect which looks fab when distressed but you prob can't really see that in the photo. The sentiment is computer printed and the fabric lace from stash. The flowers and pearls are wild orchid crafts although the big adhesive pearls are from bunny zoes. The edges are all distressed with vintage photo and the image has antique linen painted around it.
Thanks so much for leaving me some comments and coming by to have a peek at what I have done today hugs Rebekah xx
